I have 903c and 905c Conquest and I use 905 for jigs and 903 for everything when I need the longer rod for distance. I would not recommend 901s for bass fishing, I would use that for trout fishing either jigging or drop shotting. I really have no idea about 902.

I am drop shotting from shore for trout. My set up is 7'6" ML spinning with 1000 size Sahara with 4lb test fluorocarbon with 1/8oz weight. It will go far. so you think of weight you doing and adjust your line test. But try to keep the rod longer to get more distance. And the hook number 2 or number 4 Daiiechii mosquito will do the great job.

I was thinking the same when I saw the pictures of FL anglers. Thats why I do once a week saltwater(deep sea) to have some more actions. some days I cast for 4 hours from the bank and have only one bass. some day if lucky ill have 6 or 7 bass all day when I am on float tube or boat. It is really challenging with lake pressure and weather in SoCal.
