Right! We had 2 days last week of 30-35mph sustained with gusts up to 45. Also love when guys are like oh god the cold weather is setting in...it was already 47 this morning. When I went to work Wednesday it was 14 at 7am.

So there are few things that challenge a mans toughness or masculinity like saying I love you to another man ...at least in our stupid culture. Its ridiculous to me. I love my buddies Jon an Timm...we have been friends for 20+ years and their parents are like 2nd mom and dad to me...they are the only brothers I've ever had. I also love my buddy Brian ..we've been buds for 16 years and we came into each others lives at a very tumultuous time. Last but not least my buddy Matt..I love him. He was my supervisor for years. He helped me get to where I am today as an operator..we have been thru alot. We've been thru an onsite death. If that doesn't change your perspective on someone I don't know what will. Sorry if this was a rant...but I don't get it.

This just happened to me recently. Last week we stayed in a cabin at a local small lake that has pretty good bass fishing. In 2 days I caught 21 bass on a combo of Texas rig finesse worm and a swim jig. Bet I lost at least a dozen if not more.

Agreed weatherman are worthless people. Only job outside of politician where its perfectly acceptable to lie to everybody's face.

Well for one thing walleye is very bland and has very little flavor on its own. For another thing I just like seafood...namely scallops or mussels...with bacon. I've eaten fish my entire life, everything from channel catfish all the way up to sushi grade tuna so fishy flavor doesn't bother me. well a cheeseburger doesn't need bacon..doesn't mean it isn't delicious.

Yes I agree its a bummer but its all part of it up here. I'm in the fish until ice up camp...last year I had several good days well into November. Also my local river is very low which means wall eyes and saugers are easy to find...I've caught them in these conditions into December. Just need a little water depth...luckily there is a spot 5min from my house that has the deepest water for miles in each direction.

Is this a thing? If so how is it done? Its walleye time here and I'm looking for something outside of the usual delicious fried option.

Honestly don't have much to contribute here in the way of bass...hooked 3 so far in the 5lb up class and landed all 3. Also yesterday I caught a 26in ish saugeye which is my biggest walleye type fish of the year. Got her to hand as well. Btw I probably just screwed myself for the rest of the year.

Thought you always preferred Bud heavy? Maybe now that you've gotten older and aren't wrestling to stay in shape youve gotten calorie conscious.
