  1. Its fantastic. My local gas station just put in a liquor section..I picked up a bottle of Michters Rye today.
  2. I don't believe I've caught a fish on a whopper plopper. I've thrown one a fair amount but I'm not impressed. A buzz bait is far more effective for me.
  3. I use alot of siebert stuff and I use BOSS heads and assemble my own skirts. Also have some small finesse jigs made by a guy on here that are very good. Honestly Siebert makes basically everything a guy could need plus he's a good guy, he's a site sponsor and he has great quality per price point. On top of that he often posts clearance stuff on here to give us a crack at it..can't really go wrong with his stuff.
  4. Dealers choice..I'm sure we all have our favorites. Lately I've been enjoying Red breast 12 year.
  5. Up here where I live our lakes and ponds are frozen solid for usually 3 or 4 months..I was talking about a small ice fishing jig.
  6. My 3 go tos in January are as follows: 1) a tungsten ice jig with 3 maggots 2) a pot of chilli 3) Whiskey
  7. My largest largemouth was just under 9lbs..I caught that on a crappie jig with a very light wire hook and didn't straighten it out.
  8. I look to the pros for tips and tricks regarding types of baits and presentations. But I cant remember ever buying something just because a pro said I should. For example I really like Seth Feider and I'm A spinnerbait freak. Saw him throwing bassman spinner baits a ton last year..they are $14 each. For some blades and wire. I will pass.
  9. If this is true I wonder how long googan will sponsor him when they see the only bait he throws every tournament is a megabass magdraft.
  10. So my ice out arsenal is pretty standard the past few years: 1\2oz lipless, jerkbait, Ned rig and finesse jig. For you guys that throw plastics all year what are some soft baits you choose right after ice out and how are you rigging them?
  11. 1\16oz Ned rig with a green pumpkin TRD
  12. Yeah we make fuel grade Ethanol. We are distilling for volume not for flavor. Our company has 32 plants..as a group we can produce 3 billion gallons of Ethanol a year.
  13. Our still is a 5 story stainless steel column..the discharge pump is capable of pumping 300 gallons a minute.
  14. We should hang out for a few weeks this spring..ill show you what's up with spinnerbaits.
  15. Ha..yeah that's pretty high tech!
  16. Gonna add a few new top waters this season..namely the rebel.jumping minnow and using a rapala original floater on top.
  17. Well I actually already mentioned above that I will gladly take a#$ chewing when its deserved but not when its undeserved. Another thing I said is if you implement rules you have to hold yourself to them or you can't hold others to them. I feel like some of you guys feel that if your the boss the rules don't apply to you. One of our rules is we have to address everybody with respect and we aren't allowed to use profanity..that morning he came in and asked me: why wasn't the F ing plant running last night and what the F happened between 4-7. If you think your job title makes you immune from accountability of your actions your incorrect. Oh and how he manages isn't my concern? Whatever you say. In my opinion its everybody's concern: the people who work for him..the people he answers to..and the company in general. You think it doesn't matter to them if he runs the best people off? Our sister plant is 45 minutes from us..about 5 years ago they experienced horrible turnover and when they found out it was management related corporate came in and fired the GM, Plant manager and Ops manager. Now that said I don't think he deserves to lose his job...but I think he should stop being an as$%&-+. My final point in this deal is its not just my opinion that he was out of line. This happened on a Tuesday when my supervisor was gone..on Friday when he was back the other 2 guys that were in the room told him that the way I was talked to was unacceptable. That day he did the same thing to my supervisor and he told our GM that if he gets talked to like that again he's walking..then our GM had a one on one with the guy in question.
  18. So then its just like my job..he's dealing with an A hole
  19. I thought a zoom dead ringer was the only worm you use
  20. Oh yeah..you guys down there don't get all the big ones..we want some to
  21. 1\16oz Berkley half head with a mud bug color TRD...5lb largemouth
  22. Yes its a job..but he's paying me for my service to the company not so he has somebody to treat like sh#$ whenever he's in a bad mood. I'm not easily offended, I'm no snowflake and ill take an azz chewing when its deserved...but not when its undeserved and not in front of a group of people im trying to lead. He wouldn't like it if I undermined his authority in front of his direct reports. But then again there is alot of truth in what your saying. I mean I guess what he says doesn't really matter in less of course he fires me. Outside of that I still have a job to do and they are still paying me to do it. If he really bothers me I can quit and find a new job..plenty of them out there.
  23. I'm sorry if I came acrosd as combative this is just something I'm passionate about.Personal accountability is a trait that's very important to me so its hard to have respect for someone who has a lack of it.
