I know we all living in different part of country, Bur January is the coldest month of year for all of us.

The question is what is you top 3 lures for the coldest month of year? Beside that what is your top one?(poll)

You only had 1 of my favorites on the list, so I voted for it, jerkbait.

I picked spinnerbaits only because I caught a 6.3 pounder on one once in january.

I use various soft plastics all year. I just switch them up based on conditions when I go. Zoom  Trick worms and magnum lizards have been successful in particular.

Bass are usually starting to bed for us here.

Feb. is our coldest month in the Midwest, and the least likely to get out in. Jan is a little more hit and miss, but more frequently we can squeeze in a day or three any more.

1. Ned

2. blade bait

3. hair jig of some sort

I have zero but use Bass Resource, Catalogs, and Magazines to figure out what new baits I need to buy this year, cause unless we get a seriously odd winter I am not fishing in January for bass;) March and April is our January.

Spinnerbait. Instead of burning or slow rolling I use a pull and pause retrieve. If I decide to slow roll I will switch to a heavy single Colorado.

BB Cricket.......Culprit Fat Max.........Devils Horse..........

I've not fished often around here in January.

We're looking at 5" of snow and 13* tonight.

But I still voted for Jerkbaits, love them in cold water.
