  3. My first suggestion would be to purchase a Minn Kota Ulterra. Can’t put a cost on safety. my next suggestion would be if it’s a bass boat and your using the front seat you can rig a safety line that will connect to the pole and attach the other end to you when your going retrieve your trolling motor to the stored position.   7. As already mentioned. There’s only one correct answer to your questions. If you’re going to replace your battery/batteries go with 2 of the same type and age. I run lithiums and all 4 are the same age. The same would go when I ran agms. Battery safety is paramount on a boat don’t look for shortcuts.
