  1. No that’s Richard Gene ?
  2. Just shooting that fall fishing question out to the whole group…. Hope you are able to do what you love as well as spend time with those you love… being a Dad must be cool… nah actually living only with two other bachelors is pretty sweet ?

It really works, and works well Why did I ever go without it?
  4. I SECOND THAT I can’t name one person on the team right now but remember, I’m an honorable mention fan. What about excitement for fall fishing too?
  5. There is, and I believe I contracted it at Fitz Tackle and Supplies, MO yesterday. I need to stay away from that place. So many spinnerbaits. So many rods and reels
  6. Sometimes I find rocks near the shore of ponds too
  7. Count me in with the minority too then. I do not particularly enjoy rigging up and prepping, but of course will make sure I am ready anyways. I stay very busy and fish a lot, so rigging time is the same for me, just tedious. Just got back from a run in the sweltering heat.
  8. @Deleted account you’re weird
  9. That’s fair enough then. I don’t fish your lake so I don’t understand it.
  10. Come again? Don’t think so, but not necessarily because wrong lure, but activity level
  11. ? come school me then! I like to learn if I think I’m not right.
  12. How different bottom compositions interact with the weight of your lure. For example, I notice in very soft bottoms like in a mud bottom pond, even a 3/16 weight digs in quite a bit. I started leaning towards lighter weights or weightless because of this. How much your lure can lift up off the bottom when trying to pull free of grass. And, as Mobasser mentioned, rod length affecting how far your lure moves when dragged/twitched. These are a few things off the top of my head. Are you satisfied?
  13. There really is nothing you can say after that. Brutal. I’ll keep you in my thoughts today
  14. Prayers sent for you and your wife
  15. So much going on underwater that is not necessarily easily understood. I like that there are different ways to work a worm. When I was taught one way to fish shaky head, I was told to very slowly reel while bouncing my rod tip with pauses in between. When I first tried it, I was reeling too fast. The result when reeled slow enough is dragging and short hops simultaneously. It looks like a moving, feeding baitfish. Cannot achieve this through only lifting or bouncing your rod.
  16. A few manufacturers still do make closed circle spinnerbaits if you prefer them. Picasso makes quite a lot of them, along with options to have it come with a thinner wire. fav spinnerbaits 3/8oz frame Nichols 1/2oz+ frame booyah covert Stanley’s intermixed I also like some Zorro’s
  17. Why did I get a kayak? Cheaper than a boat and more functional than other similar water craft at the same price range. I think having both a boat and a kayak would be cool but yeah I ain’t there yet
  18. In a hypothetical world, I’d be fishing just about every day I could, but I would spend a decent amount of that fishing time graphing. Weather is not a consideration for me unless dangerous or extreme cold
  19. @dodgeguy are Lew’s rods and reels any good?
  20. WOW. What an excellent read. Big congrats on the PB, man!
  21. Heat here is a different kind of heat… I’m not entirely convinced it is better. Seems less humidity, sure, but the sun can bake you from all angles. Lots of open space until you get in the woods and then it is just muggy. I think hot is just hot
  22. Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you for answering my prayers for warmer weather that I asked for back in January. I was patient and never doubted you. LETS GO FISHING WOO
  23. I could’ve sent about 3-4 photos like that yesterday. Have seen quite a few deer around too….. these critters like to mock us when it’s not hunting season
  24. No, no, you’re fine. I called someone to take the spool off a reel and tell me if it rotated in their hand when they took the spool off and pulled on line. They did me it did not. I thought I recalled that a spool was not supposed to let line loose freely, I dunno
