  1. Y'all are just gonna take the 10% with no negotiation? C'mon, we can do better. @Siebert Outdoors, 11%, take it or leave it
  2. The Grass N Swim is excellent as well. I believe it is called Supreme Grass Jig on the site. That one comes through grass and pads cleaner.
  3. What kinda input? Are you adding a little pizzazz? A little griddy? Cubic shuffle perhaps?
  4. Lotta colors to discuss? Hmmmmmmm How very interesting ?
  5. Does your setup change for the Storm Wildeye Swim Shad?
  6. And @A-Jay, run me through your setup with the owner ultrahead ball jig setup if you wouldn't mind. I found your post about soft swimbaits and this was one of the jig heads you mentioned
  7. Hey y'all, What are y'alls favorite colors in the keitech swing impact FATs?
  8. I have the tatula 200 on my frog/punching rod. IMO it is a great choice. I run 65lb braid on this rod and the 200 lets me hold a good amount of that thick braid. Tons of capacity. The reel will cast a frog far and is very powerful. The large handle is very comfortable for me. The reel, however, is not my most comfortable. It is also heavy. For frogging and punching, I don’t care as much about comfort. I just wanted a dependable reel that casts far and holds a lot of 65lb braid. The tatula 200 filled that role for me and I like it very much. The Tatula 150, I’m told, has the same frame as the 200. Just a shallower spool. So you are not really gaining much comfort by going to the 150 as it will still be a large. If you have large hands, it may be more comfortable for you than me. Hope this helps
  9. So long as this past spring wasn't a fluke for me and applies in other parts of the country... take a swim jig with a rage menace trailer on some spawning flats during the spawn and burn that thing as fast as you can. I got fond of using a 1/2oz because I could move it quicker. That thing freaking wrecked on NY ponds and small lakes April-May. It got big girls too. I might upload photos later but they are already floating around on other threads. One was around 6lbs with numerous around 4lbs
  10. I swear I have bad outings every time the weather all of a sudden turns really nice in the winter. Its almost 70 here. It’s like the fish don’t know what to do with themselves when it warms up all of a sudden. One day I’ll crack the code
  11. Avoiding the skunk, you say? Can you teach me this art? I have skunked today. Nada. Zip. Zero. I don’t know man it’s like they just shut down
  12. +3 spinnerbait and +1 lipless yesterday After the past couple days and considering heavy winds again today, I’ll only be going out with my spinnerbait and lipless rods today. Feel like I might have dialed in on a bite. We’ll see what happens today.
  13. A member who I haven’t seen in a while @Bubba 460, liked a spinnerbait in the wintertime and said that it is a mini A-rig. He told us about a crazy day in the winter where he and a buddy caught multiple 8+ lbers on spinnerbaits. Hopefully my memory is right there.
  14. I just checked the weather for tomorrow and saw that the weather today had updated. At noon when I was fishing my spot, the winds were 20mph. I’m not surprised
  15. Never. Had combatives class and practicing some since then, and boxing class. I don’t know how I’ve never been in an actual fight and not sure that it’s a good thing but never have been.
  16. Well, yeah, I do like catching them on a spinner. And when the wind is so strong like it was, about the only thing that I like to throw is something that I can retrieve constantly, and I had two fish within 30min on spinner so not a hard choice for me! Lol. But I mixed in some lipless too. By the way, that last fish bit so weird. Basically I’d been casting out in the same general area for a while, covering a dropoff, and every time then spinner came back to me, it was still pretty deep close to shore because I was retrieving it real slow. Well, I look in front of me and I just see this nice looking piece of cover that I’ve been running by and without a single thought telling me to do anything, I just make a short, super soft entry next to that piece of cover. Now, like I said I’d already passed there deeper. But this time I cast right to it, so my lure was higher up in the water column, and that fish came up and grabbed it. I had to take a moment to process what just happened after that bite. Really strange. Subtle differences make a difference sometimes I guess
  17. Alright I’m going to call it quits early. I wasted almost 2hrs walking in the woods trying to find other spots on the bank that I could fish on this lake and didn’t really find anything that pleased me. My spots to fish right now are really limited. But picked up four, three on spinnerbait and one on the same lipless as yesterday. The wind was absolutely roaring around noon. The largest bass looked decent, I didn’t weigh it but thought maybe it was around 2.5lbs. It was also the shallowest fish that I caught. Fun day out on the water. Love it when I can get them to eat a spinner. The one I used today is a clear water assassin.
  18. Moving spots. I’ve already picked up a couple today on spinnerbaits
  19. Kudos. When you talked in the past about walking the shoreline of most of Toledo, that’s when I realized “Yeah okay, this guy is dedicated” I won’t be in one place long enough to figure out a body of water to that extent, I think. Not for a while at least
  20. Okay now that’s patience. Or faith. Or craziness. It’s something
  21. I ain’t saying it won’t catch them! It’s still in my rotation.
  22. Your jealousy is showing. It’s okay if you ain’t got it like we got it
  23. I’ve done that regularly. The problem is… sometimes I don’t pick the right spot. I saw so much bait and bass and nice looking structure on one spot on Shearon Harris that I sat on it for 3-4 hours and never got a bite. On Badin in the summer I sat on one spot for 4, but I actually caught fish off that one
  24. I got a couple ready. Theyll be in my rotation. Thanks for the tip!!
