  1. Man, it’s gonna take me a while to digest all this. Really appreciate you spontaneously throwing this out; there is a ton of info here.
  2. Very early spring in NY last year was dominated by the spinnerbait. That was weedy ponds 10 foot or less, like you describe, though at times a larger lake that could reach 30 feet was mixed in, as well as a deep reservoir. So far spinnerbait has been on top this year too. I’ve caught a couple that I haven’t posted in the catch pics thread or mentioned. Still waiting on good size fish though.
  3. Mo spinnerbaits That's about it
  4. Don’t know because I just don’t tend to fish in places like that. I’ll be curious to hear people’s thoughts on this own. That said, Ill always remember a fish I lost on Shearon Harris years ago fishing a shallow jerkbait over a nothing bank, but it was a sand flat. I still believe it is close to my PB. I was so inexperienced at the time that I just tended to cast over the whole bank. Every so often, something strange like that would happen.
  5. I’ve definitely bought some stuff because of members on here, no doubt. Notably, they coaxed me into buying the JDM Zillion. The guys on here just would not shut up about it so finally I just said “Fine! Fine! I get it”
  6. Wow. That is really awesome. I remember a while ago when people were wondering if zoom was about to go out of business… NOPE.
  7. The first time I tried whiskey I loved it. Same with bourbon. It was my Dad who had to switch from flavored whiskey to the real thing. Afterwards he admitted that I was right; unflavored is better. I have a tendency to like strong, bitter things though. Dark black coffee with nothing added, Guinness extra stout, etc.
  8. Man it’s been a while since I stepped up to a bar wearing my Chucks. I believe my T levels just spiked 150%
  9. Something about a NY strip is just tasty as s**t to me
  10. That’s what I started thinking too. Deep grass, ripping a lipless. Man, that’s something I wish I could do more. I haven’t fished lakes like that for a while.
  11. Okay good deal. For today since I've only got free weights at the local small gym, I'll do them. I've never felt "wrong" doing RDLs but thought I'd ask. Now, full deadlifts... that's some tricky business. I've hurt my back before doing them too heavy, thankfully it was nothing terrible and healed readily. In all likelihood I will never do a full dead again, even though with perfect form, they do not feel bad. Many times while doing them, I've had someone watch my form. Okay I'm done rambling I'm gonna go lift soon. Thank you!
  12. Okay sir I'd like your opinion on another exercise centered on the lower body. Romanian deadlifts for the hamstrings. At a gym now, I will simply do machine leg curls, but with the winter storm that came through last night, most gyms that I go to are closed right now (and I don't want to drive). But there's a local very small gym here with a barbell and weights among some other things. Hope you're doing well
  13. I’m just becoming familiar with fishing these things at a moderate or slow clip. If you spend too much time around YouTube, youll absorb that the two ways to fish them are burning and yo-yoing. Lately, just a slow retrieve has worked better for me than yo-yoing. Excited to explore some more versatility of the lipless this year Kiss a**
  14. I was familiar with members on here before I was familiar with members on the pro circuit. For that reason, the first fisherman that inspired me is @WRB. There are a lot of great fisherman on this site, but @WRB’s big bass and his intricate knowledge of bass fishing was just stunning to me when I first scrolled bassresource. So, thank you sir for what you continue to contribute. After that, as I became familiar with the pro circuit, Greg Hackney inspired me because of his fishing style. Bill Murphy then inspired me because of his book
  15. With your luck, it's a wonder you kept fishing
  16. Pantera absolutely counts to me. Really enjoy them. Think "Cementary Gates" is a metal masterpiece
  17. Holy cow MO has some cold weather on the way. I’ll be able to get in another weekend of fishing on the small lake I been on, but the weekend following, it might be pretty well iced, and I’ll have to look for something larger.
  18. Zoom worm and a jig head will catch fish 24/7/365 A shaky head is what I wish I started fishing with
  19. This thread is getting me excited for froggin this year. 2022 was not the year of the frog for me at all. Wasn’t really a topwater year in general. Here’s hoping that 2023 is better.
  20. Haven’t posted in a while but a couple weeks back I saw an armadillo
  21. Zillion is fun. It's fun. Real fun Seriously though, its a nice reel that I only have one gripe with, and you already mentioned it. If my spool is 80% or less filled, with a lipless I will empty spool on a cast. Lower line capacity than I would like when using heavier line
  22. Have tried it Dont like it
  23. You lost me there. I can’t figure out what you mean
  24. It was a wise decision to go fishing. There was a test that I took today that’s supposed to be the hardest I take while here, studied hard after fishing, and passed with a 94%. Moral of the story: go fishing when you can. *Insert Richard Gene elmo noises*
  25. I vaguely remember being some place where there was a worker in the bathroom who was working to dry people’s hands and some other task, can’t remember. Couldn’t tell you the place or the city. Maybe it was Nash, I don’t know. But no, I did not get a spritz of cologne. Bummer None of my colognes are meant to be clubbing or party fragrances. The closest I get is maybe Spicebomb Extreme and a little bit Prada Black. They will work in a pinch
