  1. Do you put that on chicken? Seems offensive to the chicken. It’s like “Man, chicken I like you, but I really wish you were a cow”
  2. Thanks for sharing! I’ll keep an eye out for that stuff. I mostly follow recipes but will add spices somewhat often if I think they will liven up the flavor. My chicken enchilada spices, for instance, include cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, oregano, and garlic powder used at a couple different times during cooking. Between some of the heat included there, Serrano peppers, and enchilada sauce, my enchiladas are ruthless and will have you crying. I like them that way.
  3. Oddly specific. But yeah, bass on ol muddy have been notorious for tracking senkos in dirty water Crazy, that photo is almost three years ago now. Theres no doubt in my mind though that dirty, cold water makes for tough fishing.
  4. ^ 7 I like for the most part “The first to die has always been the working man”. I’ll follow up with some metal. @Choporoz no growling in this one. I didn’t know that metal songs can be catchy.
  5. Well dang I didn’t think about throwing them. I already have quite a few. Would you consider them in water under or around 40 degrees?
  6. I can understand why you went into the breakdown of top vs middle vs bass because of what I said about first sniff but I do already know about fragrances progress through the notes. I do think that both Spicebomb Extreme and Ombré Leather are fairly consistent from opening to base. Seriously appreciate all that info nonetheless. Your breakdown of the colognes is really interesting. Also interestingly, both of my roommates note a feminine feel to Ombré Leather that makes it seem like a unisex fragrance (and as you know, it is labeled that). I can understand where they are coming from. I still think it smells gorgeous. Another comment I got from somebody while wearing Ombré Leather while I was sitting in my truck talking to them was “wow, your truck smells amazing.” The fragrance has this “new car” smell to it that people can pick up on.
  7. Sorry to hear. What else smells different to you?
  8. Man that cologne is getting some attention in this thread. I mean, yeah, I like it too. I did have COVID at one point as well. Freaking hated it, so I empathize with you. Id like to add a comment that strangely, the colognes that I liked the most at first sniff are the ones that I really have to be in the mood to wear. Spicebomb Extreme and Ombré Leather are that way for me. But when I want to wear them, nothing else will do.
  9. A nice pulled pork sammich BBQ. Now that’s a NC welcome
  10. I’m back in the gym again today too. Have been consistently for a while but did take one rest day. Everything is still working fine. Haven’t really had any problems Keep on driving through the winter @A-Jay. Staying healthy and lifting throughout makes it ten times better right?
  11. Yup, learning. There is a popular area on the lake that I could not touch this weekend because of logistical constraints fishing in the wind from the bank. Some organization dropped cover in the water… I believe it is either PVC or timber…. in a broad area. I’m told that’s where more of the big fish on the lake are caught. Should be able to explore it some this coming weekend. It is super snaggy in there. Beyond these two places, I don’t have good areas on the lake pinpointed yet
  12. I thought I would update this thread. 4 of my five fish that I caught this past weekend were in fact on the dam, but they were on the corner of it where it starts to merge with shallower water. There is a similar corner on the other side, but that area did not produce for me. I did not bother with water close to the drain, except for trying super shallow around cover I wouldn’t say the fish I caught are the ones I’m really looking for, but that one area does seem to hold fish
  13. I ordered quite a few of the Keitechs and various sizes of the Storm Wildeye Shad in Pearl. I was looking for something more subtle than a loud lipless or spinnerbait that I can slow roll over grass and settled on trying some Keitechs. We’ll see how they do for me. Thanks for the suggestion y’all and keep ‘em coming! Edit: @A-Jay I opted to try those owner ultraheads, leaning towards the smaller hook size offerings. I’ll keep my setup as close as possible to what you have. Appreciate all that info you put out there
  14. Yeah pit boss is definitely a great creature bait. I really should fish them more than I do. I like that color quite a bit as well
  15. Gary Yamamoto Senko. Size doesn’t matter. Whatever you fancy based on your forage size. Black
  16. How on earth did you quote something you said under my name? That’s freaking me out. I hope no one screenshots that ? @ol'crickety if you did not understand how that could have been taken, you might be Jesus. If you are Jesus, just in a female form, please let us know immediately. I’ve got some things to repent for, and also, I’m a big fan of your Dad
  17. I can get behind that. Nice, thanks for sharing. It’s kinda nu-metal, heavy on female vocals, some growling, and really guitar heavy. Sweet Ive kind of mellowed out recently. If I’ve been listening to metal, it’s been mostly TOOL and Ive enjoyed some old country as well. I go through phases all the time
  18. It ain’t just the claws man. Because otherwise, of course, I would have kept using them. What can’t see is that the bodies are so torn up that they would not hold on the jig well Was averaging around 8-10 per menace. You do the math. Gosh I miss those ponds sometimes
  19. And today on bassresource I listen to @ol'crickety describing 16 year old boys, especially their physique, comparing them to bass of a certain size, and likely daydreaming about sticking hooks through their faces.
  20. Hey y'all, Central Texas in very early March, what stage are the bass in in terms of the spawn? And has anyone on here fished Tradinghouse Creek Reservoir?
  21. War Eagle has some nice golden shiner patterns for their spinnerbaits. Just don’t tell Deleted Account I recommended a War Eagle spinnerbait
  22. I’m still traumatized from when I tipped a jar of Spike It on myself while in the kayak during the summer. I think the fish could smell me all the way from underwater because I didn’t catch anything the rest of the day. A group of girls on a boat drove by at some point and I paddled my yellow garlic stinking butt away a little faster than normal
  23. You should get some more. Maybe from that Siebert guy’s sale. I went through all of these in the spring between pike and just generally catching a boatload
  24. Oh look a goby! I forgot how much that video cracks me up. Relatable
