question about CuradoE5
Don't mess with the reel....While Quantum® reels aren't built as tight as the Shimano® reels are.. Return the reel immediately to where you purchased it for a return/exchange or refund.. When you do, if your standing at a counter take the reel out of the box and give it a once over, but i'll bet you purchased this reel from an on-line store..... As SW mentioned that reel should be smooth and work freely right out of the box... Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!!

guide question
Like flechero stated, the good part is it isn't to expensive... Just have to find someone locally that is good.... I charge on my walk-in guide repairs a rate of $10.00 to wrap, coat, cure, plus MSRP of the guide depending on style and size.... 8-) While the some shop prices can be cheap so can the workmanship.. You have to make sure you get someone that knows the color changes that rod wrap threads go through, and can wrap a guide without gaps and dimples, plus put on a good level finish... I personally like wrapping the replacements better than the original wraps, so the guys like to come back and have me re-wrap all the guides to look as good as the replacement.. Good Luck & Tight LInes!!!!

Abu Garcia Reels
Maybe and Maybe... First you need the schematic for each reel that matches the number on the bottom of the reel foot. Then depending on their actual conditions. Once you have the part numbers, then contact Pure Fishing and try to order whatever parts you need that are still available for the reels. If the reels are as old as you make them to be I doubt you will find all the parts for exchanges or conversions... Probably the best you will get is they get serviced, and brought up to working condition... Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!

Weight limit for Daiwa Zillion reels.
Having looked at a lot of Zillion spool shafts (real stubbies) I personally would like to see a bent one, they aren't long enough to bend (on the spool brake side)... The cast control cap holds the true spool shaft and it isn't connected to the spool in any way. This is just some more A typical type BS info that TT's forum provides..... If anything they are anglers that used the Zillion to throw SB's (before Daiwa answered the need), and never had the reels serviced and blew out some bearings, but they didn't bend the spools/shafts unless they removed the spool and clamped them down in a vise... As for weight limits, they only list the max line size for proper full spool rotations, any lure weight limit would be set by the rods limitations, not the reels line size.... They are better built reels than that....... : My .02¢ Tight Lines!!!!

St. Croix mojo bass soft plastics casting rod
I would re-think the Black Widow II it was a limited addition put out 3 years ago and it based on the Team Daiwa® Advantage -HSTA (TDA153HSTA). Just knowing it was a LE tells me the factory probably doesn't support the reel any more (main reason for looking at the current line up's for any mfg.).. If I were hooking up a reel to the MOJO® It would be the HSTA, CU200E, or the REVO S, they all would make great plastics reels.. Just my .02¢ Good Luck & Tight Lines!!!!

New Jerkbait rod.....
Stinky, I C....Great job on the build... Be careful I have had the really high end blanks and split seats fail on me (very brittle). Tight Lines!!!!

New Jerkbait rod.....
Stinky, Why the 5C blank? I have wrapped a couple of the 4C blanks for jigs and worm because the client wanted sensitivity, but a jerk bait rod is throwing reactionary baits no need to be so lite and brittle... Any way another good looking stick.... Tight Lines!!!!
