Possibly, but I’ve not seen any signs of them. Keep in mind the ground is frozen solid here. Fwiw, my feeders are back in the trees, about 100’ from the house. I do catch a handful over the winter in the unheated shed when it’s not too cold, nothing when it is very cold.

I get the same ones you do along with cardinals. Occasional visits from cowbirds, and a few starlings which will turn into flocks shortly. Oh yah, squirrels. I have 2 caged feeders for the small kids, a large metal one for sunflower, a double suet feeder, and a heated bird bath. Like you the most popular is the feed I toss on the ground, mostly for the Junco’s and squirrels. Won’t be long till the bears show up, hopefully I can time taking them down before they get destroyed, again. The highest I can get them up is about 7’, which isn’t high enough. Every now and then I find a pile of feathers and figure the hawks have to eat too.

I remember it as a kid and probably would do it now if I was with the grandkids, I mean someone has to show them how to skip rocks, but not near folks fishing or swimming. Some people are just as dumb as, well, rocks.

I do similar. Come the start of the season I get Prime, for both Xmas shipping and the Prime games, I cancel it as soon as they end. I also get SlingTV for the month of the college championship that are only on ESPN.

Speaking of Gunsmoke. After retirement we spent some years traveling the country with an RV. I found a website (old time radio), that has all the old Gunsmoke radio episodes, we listened to many during those long days on the road. It got pretty addicting.

Same happened the last time the Pats won the SB.

Private just means it’s not an official town road so they won’t take care of it. Here is the burbs of Springfield about half are private, as is ours, just no one knows it till it needs maintenance. In Ma the town gets $ from the state towards every mile of public roads, nada for private.

Is it a public or private road? If it’s public isn’t there a street dept you could talk to about it? Where I am the plows working for the town can plow into the drive as they drive past it, I can’t imagine it’d be allowed to push the roads worth into just one driveway. If it’s private then see if you can come up with an option for where they can put it. Could they just push it off to the side of your access rd?

Not knowing what you have for tubes, but I can buy a 10’x2” pvc pipe for $15. Your tube and shipping to the buyer would need to less than or equal to that. Maybe if you could find someone local to buy.

I’ve had a couple stations, never one that connects to the weather network if that’s what you are doing. Mine have been the mid range plastic one, that are good for a couple years, maybe. I write off differences between my house and local stations as microclimates, it’s the temp at my house vs the temp at theirs. I get a significant difference just between the open sunny front yard and the wooded back. I check like sensors side by side occasionally, and can check the against a Thermapen (+/- .5 F) if I want to really know. No idea about adjusting a sensor, might have to send it back.

I get it now. The Pats planted a rumor about the Seahawks being for sale to get them distracted for the game. Or the Seahawks put out a fake for sale rumor so they could point the finger at it being a Pats plot, that way they smear the Pats and get them distracted. Or it could be the Seahawks really will be for sale, after the game if they win, when their value will be at a premium.

When I first started bass fishing, 25 years or so ago, I keep the first over 1 lb, then the first over 2 and ate them. For me it’s not worth the effort for the amount of fish one gets. I buy the fish I eat.

Just to be technical and a nerd, while a Seahawks is an osprey, the Seahawk’s mascot they turn lose is an Auger, as in the image, something to do with the US wildlife laws. I’m pulling for the bird guys, in that game.

The skin on the raiders is very thin, I used Hillman well nuts (cheap versions are more like hard plastic and don’t work) in the hull and then SS screws to attach any hardware. For items like rod holders that may get some torque on them I also used 3m 5200 sealant. I used cleats for the anchor as opposed to the Scotty.
