Today’s me (like literally today) crap, what was that? Look back, see fish all over the surface. Threw bladed jig, wake bait and all sorts of other stuff. Threw it into bait balls, pulled through them everything. Finally moved away and the first cast “away” was the same thing!

Tattoos aren’t that bad…I’ve got quite a few. I have an addiction to tattoos. They can be expensive, but worth it! 😂😂 That said? I fish JDM whenever I can afford it.

No pics, but I too believe cutting my yard is cathartic. I’m a thick, plush lawn guy. Two doors down from me, guy cuts his yard with a reel mower. His yard looks good. I cut my yard on the next to highest setting and my yard is thick and plush. I have spots where I need to level the yard out, but all in all, it looks good to me. Mow it every Wednesday. Edge, weed eat, mow. I usually mow my grass twice in opposite directions, most often in a 45 degree angle to my sidewalks. Then everyone in the neighborhood started cutting at an angle. I was an early adopter of Ego Power. I have a 21” self propelled along with trimmer, edger and blower. The batteries need to be replaced as they’ve lost their get up and go. @casts_by_fly - my yard guy kept trying to kill my crabgrass. After I finally got him to realize it wasn’t crabgrass, but was instead dallisgrass. Once that was realized, no more problems.

The big dumper is the shizzz. I read last night that 15 of his HRs this season came from the DH position as well!

Coming from a manufacturing background, it happens. One broke, the other didn’t. That’s not on Lews “per se”. Sounds like a bad lot of material. If it was “on Lew’s” I would expect both main gears to have broken. It happens. Bad material, stress in the material that isn’t seen, etc. My guess is that the main gear went through quality control and passed per spec. GENERALLY SPEAKING, the raw material is brought in and is confirmed to be the material per spec using the material certification from the manuf. After that, the material isn’t looked at any longer. It’s the machining now that has to meet specs.

A sudden change in direction, not just veering off, helps me. For example, I’ll get it nearly all the way to my kayak, and then jerk the rod tip to the left and make it turn 90 degrees…often times this works. Last follower I had made it all the way to my kayak. She was still looking at my lure at the end of my retrieve, so I just thumbed the bar to drop my lure, and she attacked it…

I think you did good anyway. The table saw would’ve only benefitted you with the two parallel cuts/the sides. Jigsaw would’ve been ok. Bandsaw would’ve been what I would’ve used. I've had my fair share of table saw kickbacks (really only a few), but I wear safety glasses for a reason. Kickback to the face isn’t pretty. I knew better, but it was “just a small” cut. I now rip boards rough on my bandsaw then clean them up with my table saw or hand planes.

Run to BPS/Cabelas/anywhere that sells guns and grab a bottlw of tru oil by Blackwood Casey. I used it last year and it really good.

I say myself “I was just there throwing xxx” ill change to something else and throw that instead” that leads to about 15 mins of goofing around and adhd forgetting where the blowup was…

After changing out some hooks today on some cranks and some jerkbaits, I’m gonna say “anything that says owner 😂😂”. I stuck myself more today than I have in a bit.

My wife drives a Porsche Macan. She called me a couple of weeks ago saying her brakes were squealing. She was up at our daughter’s house about 3 hrs away. I grabbed some tools, went by ORieley’s and bought some brake pads. What was showing would fit in fact didn’t fit. Anyway, that’s another story. The pads at ORieley’s were $68. Pads at Porsche parts were $488. I don’t consider that dishonest in any way. That’s a huge gap, but not dishonesty. IMO Dishonest? I don’t think so in my opinion. However; taken advantage of because she was a female and likely wouldn’t question it because “she’s just a dumb girl. She doesn’t know anything”? Absolutely. 100% I believe that.

Caught this little guy today and then right after caught the spiny soft shell turtle. I am so bummed about the turtle. I didn’t know what to do. I’m pretty sure he will be dead by the morning.

I really need to try a free rig out. Just haven’t done so. Got some bull flats just for this purpose and they still look great in the package!

I love crawfish too. They just went out of season a couple months back. Can’t wait for March to roll around again. I like mine pretty spicy and yes, I do suck the head. Throw some corn and sausage in the boil and I’ll sit there and eat my weight in crawfish… Never tried one raw, but the bass may be on to something!! 😂😂
