They are what’s called “KO” blanks - knockoffs. Not actual blanks sent to the factory (maybe it is, don’t know). Anyway, most of the time they are good quality and such. No experience with the 110s, but I know it’s a staple for a lot of folks. Check out the sub forum here for the tackle making.

With Fishmas 2025 coming up, I had to buy a few things… When you buy blanks from alternative lures, Luis generally throws something in for free. This time it was a DRT Police KO. That thing dives nearly 50’! I don’t know if I have anywhere deep enough to try and fish that!

I think we can do it. Per the member section, it looks like @Eric 26 is around Chicago and @gim is around MN. I’ll leave N Alabama, swing by and grab Eric and meet up with Gim. Then, he can take us to his mamas house. I drive a full sized truck so if anyone is on the way, I can carry 6 total. I’d be coming up 65N to Chicago. 😂😂

Road trip?

I used to run with a local group here and actually paid for coaching for a couple of years. It worked, I was running great, getting top in my age groups in 10K and 5K. Was on a 3-4 yr plan with my coach to qualify for Boston. Ran my first full marathon in 2018 (Marine Corps Marathon). Had scheduled 2019 Indy and Chicago and one more on the Gulf Coast. In Jan 2019, I had a snow skiing accident where the other party involved wasn’t aware you paid to be able to use the entire mountain. This young gentleman didn’t know how to turn and hit me from behind on a snowboard going about Mach 5. Anyway, blew my knee up and I haven’t run since. Sometimes miss it, but most often not.

Painted this ride up Monday. Just ordered a big order with Alternative. Many new glides, swimbaits and crankbaits headed my way now. I am feeling a little more confident in my painting now. I have a new airbrush (gaahleri mobius 0.3) and it shoots great, so I’m enjoying painting a little more too! This is a gill pattern (minus ear flap) on a carp glide. I was really just trying out new paints, airbrush and techniques. This was a clear blank that I didn’t put a basecoat on.

Bump - to the top. I was painting a glide the other day and took it to show my physical therapist. He thought I had painted it for him…I left it with him. So, that said, I just placed a big order at Alternative lures. My Fishmas recipient’s gift is in that order. here was the glide I painted the other day getting ready for my Fishmas recipient’s gift…

I have an Arid-X spinning rod that I really like…keep an eye on Dobyns on Amazon. Seems like they always have something on stupid low clearance. Keep an eye on the sale thread as well, because once one of those stupid good deals come up, it will be posted about on here for everyone to take advantage of. on a side/related note, I appreciate that people here post the stupid good deals rather than post after the fact gloating. Good on us BR Members…
