  1. Sounds like one of those a 50 bit me off at the boat dock while i was crapping fishing with a worm on my Zebco. Just kidding…. Heart breaker when you can’t get a picture you want.
  2. @A-Jay it’s not the inches that matter it’s the way you use 🤣
  3. I bet if they offered Randy a million to endorse livescope he’d say it’s the best thing ever.
  4. @TnRiver46 guess all the pros admitting to what they spent on screens and transducers last year was just keyboard warrior talk.
  5. @gimruis now it will only be 20k in electronics not 40k.
  6. I do not think it will change too much either.
  7. 1 live transducer mounted on the bow trolling motor. Only one trolling motor and 55” of total screens. https://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_123/bass-ffs-9424.html
  8. @Alex from GA that’s all day everyday with kayakers here.
  9. I think if BASS would do it there will be some shake up. Some FFS is their bread and butter. Others are so well rounded it wouldn’t phase them as much. As much as I like Milliken I think he would struggle. I could be wrong about him and I know darn well he could out fish me any day with or without FFS.
  10. I don’t deal with rowers but I deal with kayaks. They seem to love sitting in blind spot areas in green or camo yaks next to grass beds or islands
  11. Enjoy your retirement sir! Well earned and thank you!
  12. I get out 4-5 times a month once thanksgiving hits that drops till about april. I do not really budget myself on money. My bills get paid I’m not living tight. I’m also not eating steak every night. I just maintain.
  13. When I race motocross I’d install new graphics and numbers every year or twice a year. Eventually you get good at it. At first it’s a lot of cussing, heat and windex to get it right. This was on a much smaller scale than a yak would be. It was also lots of bends, rolls and bolt holes to line up. For a whole kit it was $250-300 semi custom. The one thing only you can answer is this really worth it? Remember every time you bump, scrap, slide you can ruin it then. You’ll probably end up wanting to do it every year or every other year to keep it looking good.
  14. River might just be a dog to others. To my wife and I he’s our little boy. I completely agree with what you have said. The sleepless nights, the vet bills will never exceed the smiles and joy we get from him.
  15. I carry a knipex. I think it was rated for 5/32 hardens steel. I got it so I could cut musky hooks one handed no problem.
  16. If you’re going to dock it at your pond and I’m assuming you mean less than 300 acres I’d just run a trolling motor. Get yourself a little wagon to pull the TM battery and your tackle.
  17. That looks like a slice of heaven
  18. @Bankc I totally get that. For me fishing is just boring to watch but love doing it. now comparing hockey and soccer is an insult to hockey lol. Don’t get me wrong you have to be extremely fit and talented to play soccer but, yeah not even close. That’s purely apples to oranges.
  19. He’s just an 80pound baby
  20. Losing bass is discouraging but, it’s part of fishing. The best you can do is try to limit this by trying to put everything in your favor. With you line/knot breaking that is something you need to watch the condition of your line and make sure you are tying a good quality knot. I only use 10 and 15lb lines. Even if I have my drag really tight it will pull the hook before my line breaks on a bass. I don’t like to put my rod up in the air when fighting fish. I like to keep it more toward the side and down. This keeps the fishing from jumping most times. When a fish jumps they are more likely to throw the bait. You want to have your rod bend the it pulls drag while still bent. If the rod is loading then unloading you are losing tension on the line and this is not good either. This gives the fish the advantage. I know as far as hook sets I slam it home like babe Ruth. I know most do not for me this works. Bite detection on jigs is huge. Anything that “sits” Where something like a crank bait or moving bait they will hook themselves. I still set the hook hard on cranks too. Just my preference. closing the distance is important. You have much more control over the fish the closer it is because you are fighting it more vertically. This is when I do not horse it. I do try to get it into me faster than will take my time to land it. 10ft of like relativity straight up and down is manageable. 30 feet out in front of you on a linear plane the fish as more of an advantage. Everyone does everything a little bit differently. My approach may not be the best for you.
  21. Welcome above buddy
  22. Any official word on next years rules?
  23. Sometimes I just explore. But I’d say 70% of the time tried and true. for baits and technique it’s95% tried and true. I would like to think I am fairly well rounded in that respect that I do not have many untouched ways.
  24. @gimruis sometimes they take it sometimes they don’t. I’m stubborn too
  25. If I start catching fish and the other person in my boat is not I gladly offer up what I’m using to get them on fish too. I want my boat to catch fish.
