Who Carries Daily.....and What Do You Carry...and Why..?

Featured Replies

LCP .380

I wear light clothing and am not a big guy so I don't have anywhere to hide anything bigger than that.  I used to have a Sprinfield XDM 9mm with the 3.8" barrel, but that was too bulky so I ended up never carrying it.

I fish in all kinds of weird areas and live in a big city.

  • I have a genuine, classic, S&W Mod 36, J frame, .38 special snubnose, that I carry in a Desantis IWB holster almost every time I leave my house.   "It's better to have it and not need it

Recently changed it up and got myself a Shield Plus in 9mm. I love my P07 but for full days carrying and in slimmer stuff over the summer it can get heavy and hard to conceal. Was going to get a glock

  • I live in a rural area so guns and hunting are a popular topic around here. Yes, carry daily and all vehicles are armed as well. Oh and AR leaning against the bedroom wall 😁

Always armed.

Sig P250sc 9mm or Keltec P-11 depending.

Why? Why not?

It's like asking why wear a seatbelt.

Ruger SR9c daily. Simply carry to be prepared for whatever.......like having a fire extinguisher in the house, don't plan for a fire but i'm ready.

Now, if your a crazy liberal you'll never understand.

I hate that automatically if your a liberal your crazy or anti gun. I'm so liberal I'm not even democrat, I'm radically socialist in many ways. Lots of or at least I should say the best socialist countries have a history of supporting gun ownership. I've carried a handgun since the day they pinned a badge on me in 1983. All because I rather see future criminals aborted preventing crime and care more for nature than I do the rich man's chance to make more money doesn't mean I wouldnt fight for all our rights to bear arms stockpile ammo like I do and make the shooting sports difficult to enjoy in any way.

Anyway I carry a Sig P239 after 23 years of wearing P226 and enjoyed every time I pointed it and even used it as a club once, statute of limitations being long over now. DeSantis is my leather when it isn't Mexican carry.

I'm so far in the middle that I don't trust anyone on either side. :)

Who do you trust?

Quote in the Iron Will movie trust the dogs the creator will guide you.

Now that is it getting hotter I carry my 1911 because it is easier to conceal IWB than my M&P which is my carry gun for when it is jacket season.

I carry a Glock 30SF, easy to conceal, accurate, reliable and plenty of stopping power.

I carry a Glock .45 or a Kimber .45 almost all the time.. I am a huge fan of 1911s, planning on getting a custom Wilson Combat sometime in the future.

I also ccw a tricked out 1911 too. I built my own race ready 1911.

Yes, daily.

For the past three or four years it's been a full-sized 1911 I gutted and rebuilt, undercut, etc.  It had some lug bump going on so I fixed that as well.

Ammo changes to the 'mission' but the pistol and holster, a Super Speed Scabbard by Ken Null, stay the same.

Before the 1911 it was a Taurus PT92, older version.  I do not recommend the new versions as they simply tend to be of poor quality.  The holster was a DeSantis speed scabbard if I recall.

I sold an LCP when I got into black powder.  I now wish I had not, but at the time it seemed logical as it was not seeing much use.  The 1911 just got strapped on every day when I became self-employed.

Yes I carry daily for one reason , better to have one and not need it then not have one and need it . I have had it in some scary situations and due to the fact that it was visible they situation stayed calm . Not saying I pull it out and threaten but better to know what's at stake .

I carry everywhere I go. I currently carry a Taurus Millenium PT111 9mm. I carry IWB with a Kel-Tec belt clip. I can't seem to get comfortable with a holster. I will eventually go to open carrying a 1911 with 3 extra mags. I run that setup when I go play airsoft (I feel this is the most beneficial training for me) and am very comfortable with 1911's.

My wife also carries my Kel-Tec P11 and we are both really comfortable and pretty accurate with both guns. She will go to something else once we get the cash to try out a few setups for her. I will be teaching our son to shoot as soon as he is old enough.. I have a ways to go for that, he just hit 1 month and 1 week old.

Springfield XDSC9mm. Speer gold dot. Comp tac minotaur mtac IWB.

Shield 9,124+p pdx in an on your 6 iwb.

Don't carry often simply because Massachusetts' gun laws are so vaguely written it's not always worth it.  There's also not much of a need in my line of work.  When I do it's either a Sig 229 or 238, depending on what I'm wearing and what I'm doing.

I carry because its my god given RIGHT (not privilege) RIGHT!!! Ruger p345 in .45 cal

Ruger LCP with LaserMax laser. Light weight, amazingly accurate, and Ruger reliability. What more could you want?

Would rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6!

It's about that simple!

I carry a Beretta .40 cal Inox full time full permitted and never concealed.

One mag in the gun one round in the pipe and three extra mags.

Like I said everyone can see it, Why cause I want you to know I have it and will use it if you try something dump to me and my family.

The best offense is a strong defense in plan sight, the sight of a weapon and the thought of a deadly fight will often times stop a problem before it starts.

I won't list what's in the truck at all times as a fall back wepon.

EDC is a Springfield XDS 45 with extended mags. This rig is very comfortable in a iwb Alian Gear holster. Always carry spare ammo. At least two spare mags. Very manageable. And yes, I carry 24/7. I carry for personal and family defense. I chose the XDS 45 because (with extended mags) it gives me the same firepower of a full frame 1911 in a compact package.

Springfields are identical in grip angle and  nomenclature which made the XDS and easy transition from my full frame 1911's. Sometimes I will carry a full frame pistol. Usually when I go into larger  cities where larger capacities  could be called for. Then I carry the Springfield XDM 40. The M stands for match. Accurate and comfortable. The 40 is also my home defense gun.

I use an Alien Gear IWB too, the new Cloak Tuck 3.0. I really like it. It's comfortable and distributes the weight of my P-01 very well. I carry fairly often.

always a fullsize 1911... depends on my mood which. springfield trp in stainless, or kimber eclipse in 10mm.

mitch rosen iwb (hides in quite well) or desantis speed scabbard if I don't mind printing. (we are an open carry state)

My daily carry is a Glock 35 with a Safariland 6390 leveled up with an ALS guard. When I am not working and I am carring on my persons I carry my back up gun a Taurus da 5 shot, but my duty pistol always stays close by. I get tired of all the weight I carry around my waist, so when I am not working the gun typically stays in the car.
