Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Before I could catch anything at my local fishing hole, a stranger screamed out "hey,I have a great shot of you in the misty sunlight. Do you want it?" So I gave him my number and he sent me that picture. It's a dandy for sure. Tight lines y'all!

Great pic!

75 and blue skies. Winds out of the south gusting to 22. Water vis about 18”.

Fished the crappie hole this afternoon. Started at the north end dragging a football jig with no luck. Moved to a rocky point and got a nibble but when I set the hook no one was home.

Switched to a big Colorado Spinnerbait and began working a pocket which is a shallow flat with plenty of submerged brush. Caught 2, one dink and this gal just shy of 5#.IMG_3578.jpeg

Nice!

Great day on the water. Air 50, water 54. Lake high after rain. Fat little guys were streching my string all day. Mr clicker said 37. Spinnerbait and bladed jig did the work in 2 fow.

Best part of the day was when a turkey started gobbling in the timber above the lake. I talked to him for quite awhile (I always carry a yelper in the boat in the spring for just such an occasion)!

In 2' of water, I'm sure you could see the wake the bass made while pursuing your lures. That is always a huge thrill as you tense up for the contact! Sounds like a day spent in wonderland. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks! I had been out wading in that spot for about 45 minutes, with many followers and one hooked small hybrid gar. Right as I was thinking "well maybe big mama is further out and tired", she smashed the choppo. I gave her a second to make sure she had it. She jumped like four times, dove into some slop, managed to throw one of two hooks from what I could feel. About 10 feet from where I was wading, gave me a good head shake out of the water and I knew it was likely fish of the year, if not a PB. Once I pulled her out of the water I knew immediately it was a PB. I turned around and new occupants of the campsite I was fishing at were behind me. So that was my one bass for the day, once the site is occupied I am obligated to leave

Got this one a Raid Osakana Slide. It totally crushed it. I thought my arm was going to come off. I would guess between 6 and 7lbs.
