I am visiting my Mom at the nursing home in Southeast Missouri today and they are getting a lot of rain rolling in from Arkansas too.  I hope we get some in Kansas City as we need it though I don't want 5 or 6 inches.  :)

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

NICE Bass! B) We are getting flooded out right now here in Arkansas and I haven't started as of yet. From the look of your hands it was a little bit chilly out there?

Low 40s and mist. Don't mind the cold, but when the hands get wet and cold, that's a little different story

Nice fish @Team9nine, I’m curious as to what tactic your employed to catch these shallow aggressive bass

Been catching everything on blade baits. Was getting them out of the deeper holes when things were cold and clear, but now that the rain has really stained the water, the fish have moved a bit shallower and I'm catching them with a slow steady retrieve in 1 to 3 feet of water. Managed ten more today, but water was even more stained and most of the fish were smaller, though I did get a couple nice keepers. Got dumped on again tonight, so things will probably deteriorate even more.

But it's February, so it's all good B)

Gotcha thanks

Had some great action this afternoon.  Caught twenty or so including this one just shy of 4 lb.  Fish were fairly shallow on the sunny and windward side of some HOA lakes I fish.

Today I skipped a Zoom fluke under the wooden walking bridge you see reflected in my glasses. After I set the hook she was so heavy and motionless I thought I had set the hook into a wooden piling -- until she started moving that big head to and fro, that is. Then I knew I was battling a big ol' beast. I was lucky to get her out from under the bridge with the light rod I was using.

Edit.  Can't figure how to get my pic over here.  Evidently too big or something.  Better at fishing than with computers.

If you're running a windows os, try using paint.net. You can easily resize pics. I've got to do it with almost all of mine.

Caught a chunk today. 4.6lbs, t rigged junebug Yum Dinger. She tried to wrap me around a stump and I had to go in after her.

That's a Dandy :D Congrats!

Went fishing with my girlfriend Saturday and tried fluorocarbon 8lb test Spiderwire, got it cheap, didn't care for it. It sucked really bad with my spinnining rod and just not good at all on my baitcaster either. Spent most of my time dealing with birdsnests and backlash. Didn't catch nothing, I was so disappointed in how my luck has gone trying to catch a bass this year. Guess I could be trying too hard. I don't know. While I was dealing with my mess, my girlfriend was catching a couple. She caught 2 mud cats in about 30 mins or so. Nothing to really brag about, other than she's only went fishing one time(this year) and caught more fish than I have all year...lol! I shoulda catfished. Oh well I wanna catch a bass! ?

Caught 11 today in some muddy water. The lake is usually very clear but it has been raining for a week. This girl was the biggest one of the day. The water was way up from a week ago and they were stacked in the stick ups. Caught some of them on a brush hog (south African special) and most on a jig green pumpkin with a orange craw on it.

Nice fish. Cool photos.

It was my last cast tonight from the bank, 30 minutes past sunset. She was 6.4 pounds, nailed via my trusty blue-back Rage Menace grub, Texas-rigged on a 4-0 EWG with an unpegged 1/8 bullet weight. Yahoo!

Is your scale calibrated? That fish looks a lot bigger than 6.4. Either way nice fish!

Thanks, man. It's a good scale, and 6.4 seemed about right. I was holding her a wee bit out in front of me for the photo.

Cool! It's become my confidence bait. Be sure to break the little tab between the twin tails so they flap when you swim it. I break the tabs ahead of time so I don't forget to do it when I'm fishing.  You can leave the tails connected for a more subtle presentation but I don't seem to catch much that way.

You caught a lot of good fish there sir. So envy those of you in FL.

SoCal is weird now it getting cold and I got a little bit of snow close to my neighborhood a few days ago. Still can't find no good fish around here. I should have moved to FL LOL.

I thought the same.  At least the pic makes it look like a huge freaking fish.

Got this fish  out back a little while ago on a June bug senko. Saw a swirl against the bank across at 20180303_182952-1080x1440.jpg20180303_183231-972x1296.jpgthe neighbors bulkhead and skipped it over, apparently to a bed .This was the female. Caught the smaller buck a couple casts later in the same spot. Saw another guarding a nest out 5 feet or so from my boatramp.
