Pleasent day, air warmed to 60, water was still 49 (warmer than I thought it would be).

Caught 9 on a squarebill, 14 on a Wiggle Wart.  Couldn't find a big 'un, but pretty good for Nov. 22!

Should have spent time chasing crappies, as they were bunched up big time!

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Similar weather to yesterday with less wind. It’s gonna get real cold and chances of snow here this week so this may truly be the last for the year. Underspin again. Had to realy rip it and let it fall to get a reaction  strike. Had one other one flash on it tho. But just bumped it. Also a lil shot of one of my favorite ponds I fish

Al, like I do, fishes from a boat. Floating anglers should catch more and bigger bass. If you were also afloat, you'd find yourself catching more and bigger bass. I often cast from shore before I launch. I typically catch ONE bass. Yep, ONE. Then I launch and catch lots more.

One of these days I’ll have a floating vessel again. I fished a canoe for years and a kayak

Great day on the water!  The 2 biggest were 5 1/2 and a 6.  All on Yo Zuri flat side crankbaits.

Air was 57, water was 48.

Lakeshore photo shows LOW water!

Luv them ruby lips!

Thanks for that.

Went out yesterday, weather was nice for late November.

Lake was empty which was nice.

Got off to a late start but caught five. Four on a flat sided shallow crank and one on a jerkbait.

Only weighed three of them. Smallest was just under 2 lbs, the other 2 were over 3 lbs.

Pretty solid outing. Two more days of decent weather before it drops a ton.

Got this one at the city lake yesterday.

Got these 2 today at the pond, but then I switched to other things, mostly jerkbaits and flukes. These 2 were reaction bites, and I wasn't able to elicit any further bites.

The few I was able to get this weekend were also reaction strikes. Waters just to cold I think. We could have 5 inches of snow Friday and Saturday though

Rachel wanted to practice rowing with oars/oarlocks in swift water so she can accompany friends on trout floats with drift boats and help row. I knew a good place to practice but it hasn’t been fishing well since Hurricane Helene destroyed it a year ago. We loaded up the small boat and ran way up some shoals and started drifting , she picked it up quickly and did great. We got down to some deeper water, the only place I’ve seen much fish activity on this stretch since the hurricane. Well by then she says “my shoulders are tired, I need a nap” 😂 😂. So now I’m back on the oars. I did catch a tiny spotted bass and missed another bite, fun in the sun

Dang it Al!  Now it looks like the bait monkey will be bringing me Yo Zuri flatsides and Wigglewarts for Christmas!   Well, I need to spend my children's inheritance on something before it's too late, and they get it!

Been doing pretty well with lipless crankbait and chatterbaits after work at the 10 acre grass pond near my house - I was able to take some of the better captures and make a cool video on the techniques that have been working down in NC as the temps cool and also captured some of the beauty of this urban hydrilla gorilla factory!  I know there’s always a lot of curiosity about the places we fish and hopefully you enjoy the digital tour of one of my little public spots!  Enjoy!

Great video, Pat. Keep making them. You're as good at making videos as you are at catching bass.

As long as you fish with passion, love, and respect you are just as good as anyone else.

I think flatsided CB work well in cold water.  So how do I explain how well a WW works in cold water?  It's about as round as I am!!! 🤣

Thank you. I definitely do.

Sad day.  According to the forecast it's probably over for the year.  Went out on a high note as I caught 10 on a jig 'n pig.  8 fow on brush in a channel drop.  Biggest was 5 1/4.

Cloudy, no wind, water was 48.

It was another great year!

Fished the home lake this afternoon. It was Cloudy, calm, and high 70s temp.
I managed 10 , 9 of them on the speed worm… Lost several larger fish in the eelgrass. They take a few turns in it and get enough slack to get loose.
They weren’t biting as good as I thought they’d be with a front coming in…
