I'm just glad someone is still catching fish, Russ! Even the Mighty Al of Iowa has put his rods away.

Today I caught my first 8" hudd fish... after over 100 hours fishing it over the years. I've caught fish on bigger baits but for some reason I could never get them on the traditional slow bottom crawl

Had my boss and his son over today . Primary goal was bream. The 2nd bream Alex hooked , as he had it almost to the dock , a bass clobbered the bream and he hooked the bass right in the corner of the

  • So I went fishing today, and caught a 9#. Scale bounced between 8-15 and 9-2, but let's call it a 9, shall we? NLMB trout eater.   Super slow rolling a 8" weedless on the bottom in about 15

Back out one more time before they start dropping the lake and I can’t get on 😫

Nothing big, but a limit of chunky fighters on a mix of blade baits and shallow cranks (Bandit 100). Surface temp = 50 deg.

Got a 7 pound 8 oz fish in the church pond. Id swear she’s full of eggs.  I think this is the earliest in December Ive ever caught a bedding fish..

Al, you can always come to Maine and cast your lures onto the ice with me. I keep hoping that there will be a bass big enough to bust through.

I don’t know @N Florida Mike but if I was on a steak like that I may end up losing my job. I’d have a serious hard time working if I knew my next PB is right in my back yard or at the church pond. 😅

Church pond works tho: phone rings; “you coming in today” … “right after some Our father’s and Hail Mary’s” haha

Nothing big but fun bites. Mechanical jerks with 3 second pauses.

Only thing I caught today was black, with a long tail and a white stripe. Think I had one nibble on a Senko from a bluegill. Beautiful day but dead, dead, dead.

Yesterday I landed my last big bass of the year.  Today my pedal drive broke on my kayak, and I won't be able to get parts before the New Year.  I tried to finnish out the day by paddling, but got frustrated and came home.  I am in awe of anyone who can catch a bass paddling a Kayak or canoe.  Once my pedal drive broke, all I could do is get snagged and swear.  Yesterday I landed 37 bass, biggest was 8 pounds even and caught on a Tilapia Magic Zoom Ole Monster.

Well, I'm in awe of anglers who catch 8-pounders! Well done, King. That's a handsome fish, both long and thick.

2 of the biggest from yesterday

I'm guessing a LOT of us are wanting to fish with @AbelG. I sure am. Those fish are gorgeous.

The kids went to grandma’s to help her trim the tree, so I fished for a little while. Air temperature was 36 degrees, and the fishing was as cold as the temp. I did spook one fish walking along the bank, but I didn’t even get a nibble.

Nice fish @N Florida Mike

I knew you’d like that tilapia magic @king fisher!

Beautiful early winter morning. Caught a couple on senkos to start.

Bite slowed, then started slaying some giants on a dropshot. 😎

Pops couldn't catch a legal fish and might've been getting teased a bit...

And then when we were just about to leave he got what was probably his best fish of the year

Mike that fish is awesome and she absolutely is!  Florida bass operate on a much different clock than most of the country historically but I caught one like that here in NC on Christmas Eve last year and I’m starting to think they drop eggs much earlier in the spring and later in the fall than we tend to ascribe to them.

also really nice to see @Team9nine on them again with a giant and pop @NorCal Bassin' on a donkey too!  Hoping this week the fish adjust and start to bite for me again - they been acting pretty silly with the 40 degree rain and sub freezing nights and it may be a second before I adjust with them to where ever it is they went!

Those are healthy, beautiful bass, Russ.
