Latest Tackle Purchase Thread (Bait Monkey Victim Support Group)

Decided to finally pick this rod up. Other than a few tw reviews theres not really any information about it. It seems like it's made from the same materials as other daiwa glass rods and for $80 why not. Picked up the tatula ct too so  this chatter bait combo  I got for under $200.

I just knocked out a good chunk of my holiday gift cards.  I picked up a St. Croix Premier 6'6" mf spinning rod, and a Carbonlite 6'6" mf spinning rod.

Finally got both my new rod and reel in...Daiwa Tatula Elite 100XS and Daiwa Tatula Elite 7’4 MHR Howell. It’s a legit Chatterbait combo...weather sucks but I’m very excited for it.

Picked these 3 up at the local sporting goods store.  They have sold lunkerhunt hard baits for a while, so I bought 2.  Both lunkerhunt flat side jolt 2.5f one in silver side (right) and red hot (left) .  Those might be good for the spring paid $4.99.  Seems like decent reviews on line except the hooks

also a strike king (bottom)  1.5 square bill.  Store sticker covered up what the color is called.

I picked up a Daiwa Legalis 2500 yesterday. It's going on my Sierra 692s Ned rod.

You ordering from Hammonds now too?  They’re about an hour away from me and are unquestionably the finest mom-and-pop tackle shop I’ve ever set foot in.

Of course I never been there but they've been one of my favorite vendors for a little while.

Great customer service and a nice inventory of they stuff I like.

a pack of hook bonnets

Come to the dark side - we don't stick our fingers.

I think I've purchased/used close to 10 packs of Owner bonnets in getting all my treble lures covered in the last couple years.

4 pack was $19.99 and some customization with wife’s vinyl machine on 1st box... it’s gonna be a long winter and lotta brands to cover ?

Nice! I have the 7'2" MH and H and for Christmas I got the 7' M spinning rod. The other 2 rods you have are high on my interest list!

They feel great in my hands, but it will be a long time before the lakes thaw and I can try them out!

Finally got my Mojo Yak rod.  It has a much softer tip than most rods and I like the feel of the handle.   I had fished one in the past (barrowed) thought it was weird but for a kayak it will be just right, I hope.

Jason, how about a review on the Tatula 300 once you use it for awhile. Contemplating grabbing one.

So, spooled it up with 20lb Izor and took it on a test run. Paired it with a Low Down Customs MH 1-5oz tossing around a Tiny Klash (2oz), Roman Made Nego (2oz) and a Doomrider Glide. First impressions..I’m not impressed. Casting distance I feel is sub par compared to my Lexa 300..had it on brake setting 6, tossing into slight wind but nothing to bad to hinder a cast. Hopefully in time with more use it’ll break in and my opinion will change lol. Looks nice though
