In my original post on the sale I didn't mention the color on purpose.  I was hoping it would give people a chance to order. The last time I saw them on line the Hook Up Tackle had them in stock and they sold out in minutes.  They told me they were bought by bots that they can't control. As soon as the color showed up the orders started coming in.

That's the first and only color I've ever used.  Got the nude rainbow and the perch colors to try instead

Nice little variety there, pal.

You should know that when he's quiet, he's plotting...not a good thing.

Last I saw him he was heading towards the casting rods section... Now that can't be good.

Ponds are full of grass, so picked up the Magdraft freestyle 6in and some Owner 6/0 1/4oz beast hooks. Also decided to grab a couple more Booyah Willow tandem Colorado, pure white. I’ve been crushing on them and don’t want to not have one during a hot bite. Picked up a couple Rat-L-Traps in red chrome and chrome black back, and why not throw in a 6th Sense Axis Metal 2.0 square bill. (Gotta spend $12 to save $6 in shipping)

The bait monkey has set up real estate in my brain.

What setup do you throw the magdraft freestyle on?

I was restricted to only buying from bass pro (my family just gives me gift cards anymore, which works for me) and I’m limited to a 4 door car so rod length is a big factor, with that in mind….

I got a St Croix Triumph musky rod , 7’6 MH/F that throws 3/4-3oz baits paired up with a Shimano Cardiff 300A spooled with 17lb Sufix Siege (when I respool I’m probably going to switch to Sunline Defier Armillo in 25lb test, same diameter as 16lb mono and a handful of the best fisherman on here swear by it)

For the actual plastic I rig it on a 6/0 1/4oz weighted Owner Beast Hook.

Have caught fish on single and treble hooked baits and the Musky rod hasn’t betrayed me yet.

I throw mine on a 7’5 H zodias. Handles it well.

Same here. Haven’t had any issues and I use the 8/0 freestyle.

I wanted to upgrade my tackle bag, looked into the Plano Guide Series 3700 (the regular one, not the XL) the Plano Z-Series, and this new Simms bag. Ordered this from the nice little fly shop in Germany where I get most of my Simms stuff, and ordered the Guide Series from Amazon. The Plano never arrived, which turned out just fine because this one is the deal. It's made from this really tough material, like the stuff from a dinghy or an inflatable stand up paddle board, but slightly shinier.

The (someone else's) boat bag system is complete! This one for my tackle, the backpack for my water bottle, snacks, spare sun gear, etc., and the Rod Mule. Done.

I'll put it to the test Sunday after next.

Finally got my second BPS gift card from the FWC TrophyCatch program so placed a small order. Was running low on Zakos, and needed to get a couple more backup chatterbaits after losing the one. Excited to try the RES 2-tap, love the original and I've been having excellent luck with the Booyah one knocker so will be interesting to compare.

Then threw in a Strike King tour grade compact spinnerbait. I'm not big on spinnerbaits but it's a technique I need to get better at. I like the compact frame and think it will do very well.

And the last one before the season starts. I found out I didn't have enough 30lb braid to spool up one of the Curado Ks, ordered some. But when I started to browse the online shop I saw they still had these in stock. I haven't fished or even seen Trigger X stuff for sale in years, and I'm pretty sure the DT Flat was discontinued a decade ago. Had to get some spadetail worms (loved these things back when I started fishing soft plastics) and a couple of DTFSS-9s.

The Ebay Monkey got me. I was going to order the P5 Bait Finesse but came across a Evoluzion 30th Anniversary Super Diablo used but in mint condition. It's a work of art.

At this point the bait monkey has established multiple residences in my brain.

Was running low on Super Flukes so bought 2 packs. I’ve been having issues with my Gamakatsu 3/0 EWG hooks so I decided to try the Owner Wide Gap Plus hooks and see how they work (anyone else use these? Let me know how they are)

Also picked up a R2S bubble popper. I like fishing poppers but a lot of them tend to be a little on the lighter side which can make throwing them on casting gear a bit of a nuisance for me. I got the 88 size and at 5/8 oz I think I’ll have no trouble slinging it.

I finally broke down and got a Spro Little John. I’ve heard nothing but great things so I’ll be interested to try it out.

The last of my orders is slowly coming in for the season until I’m all stocked up! Very excited. The wife called in an order for me to get her those two swim baits at the top. I’m not gonna lie they do look impressive and videos online show them hovering nose down. The brand is 10,000 Fish. Also picked up a couple of G-Money football jigs in white/purple and some baby craws.

I’ve been trying a variety of weight fluke rigs…so trying some new variants there. I’m also trying some new Chatterbait trailers…bought the KaikaZee from big bites on a variety of colors.

Separate trip, but Academy has “got deals” on the most random items. Literally 50% or more off…bought some Keitechs for $3.50 a pack because it’s an unbeatable deal. I

The last of my @Siebert Outdoors order came yesterday! Can’t wait to trailer up these bad boys and wet them! Got the Fogy pack kit in 3/8 and in 1/2oz. This literally winds up my buying for the season and even the bait monkey gave me his approval. Well my wife trumps the bait monkey and he just doesn’t like it is all lol

A tackle store in southern Spain. They don’t have a lot of bass tackle but they used to have a decent stock of Rapala stuff.

I’ve been ordering stuff from their website for years

I had two orders finally come in and one from Omnia.  I have been hunting for this dumb Megabass hat for a while. The Big M should be fun and I finally found a place that has the Respect Series Onetens in stock.

Got a new rod for my curado bfs that I use 7lb braid on, since shimano says you can’t use mono line on the reel☹️. Sorry for the blurry picture on the rod, the rod is a abu garcia xenon 6’9 medium light fast action  rated 1/8 -5/8. I didn’t want to pay that much for a abu rod but out of what I could find locally it was the best one of the 3-4 choices I had. I took a hour checking the different rods out and it felt the best to me, did great today with 3.5 grams. Now to go lower and see how it goes. Also I got a few packs of worms, a few jigs, skirts, small plastic swim baits, 1/16 oz jig heads.

I went to visit family in the states and was able to make a Tackle Warehouse order to bring back to Mexico.  I went to a couple stores while I was there, but they didn't have much tackle.  I was lucky the stocks were low, and the Monkey wasn't able to get me for any impulse purchases.

I really hope jackhammer’s are worth the money they are commanding. I actually want to try them out but the cost is what’s been holding me back.
