It was mentioned here and in multiple other threads, SO offered free shipping on Dobyns but Dobyns direct is $25. 

SO sale ended last week, Dobyns direct ends Monday at close of business. 

Everyone’s rods start coming in. I’m thinking one or two more days for me.

I ordered on 27th, haven't received any yet. I'm not in a hurry, I'm getting my boat out of the barn storage next week. I did sell a couple of my Dobyns Sierra rods out of inventory?

Same here, ordered on the 27th and haven't received mine yet.  I am cutting them a break on this one given the special sale and I'm sure the volume.  I ordered a Lew's Tournament MP to go on the rod, ordered from them Friday 4/3 and it arrived yesterday.

Digitaka having a sale.  Picked up a MajorCraft Days 69MH casting rod during the last sale.  Amazingly light blank and sensitive for $120.  Perfect for skipping worms and finesse jigs.

Can anyone who has already received their Dobyns rod from SO tell me how they shipped it?  Seems like normally stuff I order from SO comes via US Postal Service, but I wasn't sure if I should be expecting my rod to arrive by FedEx or UPS.

For the Dobyns rods they are shipped directly from Dobyns (via Fedex)

I got a FedEx notification as well for mine.

Ordered from SO on March 28th - no rod, no tracking
Ordered from Dobyns directly April 1st - no rod, no tracking.

While people that have ordered after me or live in greater distance to Texas have already received their order.

I still don’t have any info yet. My buddy ordered the day after me, and is expecting his Friday. Hoping mine comes Friday also. 

Gary made a post saying certain models would take longer to deliver than others. They ran out of the longer shipping tubes 

Also saw a post they they prioritized direct orders over SO orders.

 

For me not an issue because I have some time before I need to use it so long as it is here before June I am happy. Also no tracking info or rod yet but don't expect it at this point.

 

I think the response to the sale was more than Gary expected. 

Can someone make another thread for the Dobyns shipping concerns? There’s like 3 pages of it now.

What goes in a long tube? More than 8’. I thought the tubes were 8’. 

Ordered Dobyns spinning rod from SO on 3/30, still nothing . I just hope it doesn't arrive damaged.
