Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

Man, I miss fishing with my boys. Why do they have to grow up?

Pull forward and try it again.

Man I sure hope he didn’t dent his bumper with the trailer, looks like it’s pretty close to being jackknifed ?

Like they say, can't dodge it, Ram it.

That moment when you realize that your dog is not only man's best friend, he's also INFANTRY!

I see a rodeo in his future!

I see the tight rope in the background, did you give it a shot?

The tight rope act was good. Globe of Death had 5 motorcycles in it which is the most I've seen. It was  no Ringling Bros, but it was entertaining https://spectacularcircus.com/

Just a couple of distant cousins, Virginia and Flossie. Circa 1927 (actually not, just thought this was cool)

Black and white photos seem to tell a story better than color photos. We recently went thru boxes of photos that my recently deceased 84 year old aunt had either taken or acquired. While most of the photos were discarded, we saved pictures of my families ancestors. The best find was a picture of my grandfather, who had passed away 4 years prior to me being born. My brother is the spitting image of him.

Here in Kansas, we have what they call "walk in fishing ponds". Basically, property owners can rent out their ponds to the state to allow the public to fish them. In exchange, they're paid and the state manages the ponds for them. I went to one I'd tried once before. It wasn't good then, it wasn't good this time either. Last time there were some horses that were pretty snotty acting in the field too. I've been around horses my whole life, not a fan, so I was watching them pretty close the whole time. I'm guessing my focus on the horses somehow let this crazy thing sneak up on me.

I don't know what in the world someone has a dang zebra for, in a field, in Kansas, but it was not appreciated by me at all. I've been stared down a time or two by some drunks on the wrong side of a jail cell, never had anyone in stripes stare at me like this guy did. The fact he was between me and the stairs to get over the fence to my truck wasn't comforting either. Just made my way steadily, and carefully until I was sure I could make the fence, then it was a sprint. Stripy boy never flinched, just mean mugged me the whole time. Probably the friendliest animal in the field, had no interest in finding out.
