Drakes Bay during a pre-pandemic July visit with the Mrs enjoying some fresh oysters, clam chowder and a cold barley pop. Looking forward to doing this once again...

Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

Kind of a crappy, over zoomed pic, but we had a pair of swans at the lake by the house this afternoon. I’ve never seen a pair around here in the summer, but I’ve seen several over the years when they’re migrating further north, usually around this time of year. They sure do make the geese look small.

As embarrassed as I am to admit it,

mix in a few 'colorful' sailor terms

and this might be half my playbook.

Oh My God Reaction GIF

I feel attacked.

Also is it possible to tie something down without then giving the strap a good yank?

They are the bane of sticks and small plastic toys everywhere (and also my shoes, but that's my fault for leaving them out with a puppy in the house). Absolute carnage.

Roxy was beautiful. I bet she was the best girl.  ❤️

Thanks ~ Roxy was a sweetheart but she had her moments as well -

She was my wife's running partner for many years - #maxendurance

I've never met a dog that didn't have the capacity to be a brat. Comes with the territory. lol

Is this the vicious dogs thread?  I'll add my pic of a GSD eating a toddler.

Coltrane says thanks.

He's somewhere between sable and black and tan.  He was the one light puppy in the litter.  It's very wolf like.

Pretty sure he's part wolf and part cinder block.  He has the IQ of the latter and his head is just as hard.

Fished Rodman Res. yesterday to practice for a upcoming Tournament this weekend. Caught a solid limit of 5 with this post spawn girl as the anchor.

Guilty! You're doing better than I...I'm at about 75%! ?

A few of other one's my kids picked up on:

After hearing and reporting a rumor about a relative or townie friend: "Not trying to stir the pot, but hey, you got a spoon?"

In December I found out the company I was working with were slowing down and were getting ready to lay people off. The company I now work for gave me more money to join them. More money = more hours. I said "Nope, I'm good." And got the lower salary.

When asked to pick up kitchen trash bags my next time out at the hardware store, I picked up some fairly inexpensive trash bags. When questioned about the trash bags, my reply was: "Why would I spend a lot of money on trash bags that I'm going to be throwing away anyway?"

Well, as @Sam would say and then the fight started.

"Just one more thing" (trivia here, who said that)

Driving behind an older person, I made the comment: "You'd think older people would drive a little faster given the limited amount of time they have left?"

So, yes, these get repeated by my kids more than I care to admit. ?

Either way, I'm sure you're glad they are listening.
