Had a couple passengers on the boat today, I think they really enjoyed their ride along.

  • After a couple of years of being used to make the new movie "TOP GUN-2" this F-18 E  has just arrived @ our facility in Jacksonville Fl. for rework, fresh paint and being returned to the active fleet.

Try a JPEG instead of a PNG.

Or upgrade your browser - I'm seeing the pic just fine...even in the quoted posts.

Win-7 Pro

FireFox 87.0

I'm WAY more up to date than that.  Here's what it doesn't work with:

iOS 14.4.2

  • Safari
  • FireFox for iOS
  • Chrome for iOS

Windows 10 Pro 64 bit

  • Edge
  • Chrome
  • FireFox
  • Opera

I suggest linking to a JPEG using a 3rd party image hosting site.

I stay away from anything labeled 'Apple' as a matter of course.

I also tried Win-10 a few times - immediately cleared my HD and restored my Win-7 image backup I'd made just prior to the 'upgrade'...I hate Win-10 with a passion.

"You can have my Win-7 when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers."

Interestingly, when I try to access the image by URL from this thread, I see an error page. But, when I go to A-Jay's profile and grab the image URL from his gallery, I see it just fine.

Same computer, same browser, same URL, two different results.

Couldn't care less what tools people prefer to use for the internet, just that they work.  The Windows/iOS debate is just dumb.  I make a living using both.

You aren't going too far with a PNG in the regular forum pages.  Upload a JPEG.

You know, I kind of have the same stance IRT Apple mobile devices, and that's really only because I can't leave anything alone. I've torn this Pixel down to the studs and rebuilt it the way I wanted it. I like that. iPhones are great if you're able to leave them alone and let them work the way they wanna work.

For servers, I'm perfectly happy only using Linux.

I used to be an Apple diehard for desktops and laptops. Started using them in school for my first degree, and tuck with them when they started soldering everything inside to the motherboard so that nothing was user-serviceable anymore. Even stuck with them when I couldn't get a matte screen for my laptop. I finally had enough when they removed the physical function keys from the Macbook Pro and replaced them with that stupid touch bar. The touch bar is, was, and will be the hill I choose to die on.

Turns out, in the time I was ignoring Windows, they started doing cool stuff to make life easier for developers that don't write .NET, and the advent of WSL2 has made it so I can kind of have the best of both worlds: A machine with hardware that I can service myself that also doesn't turn into a dumpster fire when I have to actually write code.

I was shad fishing 100' from this older couple about an hour before I took this picture.  Never thought I'd see them next getting fished out of the Occoquan River.

They weren't hurt, praise the Lord, but they both got wet and I'm sure embarrassed by all the police, fire, etc. that came.  Definitely were having a good day in their spot before that, making me look terrible.

Picture for today. "75% boring, 25% chaos"
