Got a good little winter project for my son and I. This guy was pretty much grown into the river bank at our new place. Been there for a lot of years. The old owner said it floated down the river years ago and he just flipped it over on shore and it’s been there since. 
gave it a good pressure wash, and in the winter I’ll drag it into the barn and we’ll put some new seats on it and give it a new coat of paint. I already have a better small tin boat so we’ll either sell it or maybe find a youngster that needs a boat to give it to. 

Had these fellas hanging out and grazing on the grass at work the other day. For their sake hopefully they find somewhere to hide the next few weeks. ?

At 20 gallons to the mile and $16 per gallon (let that sink in) the fuel economy isn’t the best but I think she’ll pull the boat just fine! 
 

 

The TN river is looking swoll today, somebody must have pulled all the mud out of it

The trailer will come... the boat will be sitting in the driveway.

Pouring rain here right now, but the sunset still wants to try and give us a show. Darn near looks like our barn is on fire ?. Been in this house since June and never get tired of the sunsets here.

Tried that for 30 minutes here, 30 minutes, had better luck at the market. The family doesn’t understand why you don’t catch 60 fish in 30 minutes. I spent most of my time asking locals what fish live where and they said it’s a futile effort. There are a bunch of large salmon in shallow water near where we are staying but they don’t seem catchable and I hate fishing for salmon/trout. I think I hit one in the head with a senko earlier in the betsie river

That’s quite alright by me! I’m trying to catch a bass or pike or perch or something, even a bluegill.  I’m not a fan of salmon fishing , just landed on them by accident. I think if I get a free hour I can get something

You land them by accident LOL. Catching salmon with bass gear might make you want to stop fishing for bass.
