This would make sense because I didn't think there was any way the suspending bait felt like it was nearly an ounce.

Is make sense 1/6 sense? LOL

I’ve always been curious about them, but never tried one. I don’t understand how they work. To get below the surface, most lures use a lip, or they sink by weight, but they just keep on sinking. I understand suspending cranks, but I don’t understand how a lure can get below the surface and stay at a certain depth without a lip.

I want one anyway. Who makes a good one?

Gave one a trial run yesterday.  Overall I believe it will be a very productive bait and can really produce in certain situations.

A few notes;

Run depth was about 3ft and would get there fairly quick.  The bait will float subsurface until cranked to depth.  Water temp was 39 and it would suspend or slowly sink in shallower water.

Ran true after pausing or slight jerks.  It did roll to its side burning it but that's not its purpose.  Plenty of other traps to pick from if burning a trap is the ticket.

Hooks were sharp and didn't see a need to replace them.

Looking forward to seeing what it will produce as its a unique presentation.

That's the Quake 80 you're talking about?

Man dangit - why do I come to this site? LOL - just pulled the trigger on the Quake. Thanks Clayton!

I think that's my favorite thing about their hard plastic lures. Not many brands that I don't feel hinky about the hardware out of the package, but I don't worry about my 6thsense stuff.

I threw mine in daylight today for the first time. Wait until you see how you're able to work this one. It's nice how it turns around after the twitch-pause. It's more of a suspending glide than a subsurface spook, IMO, and it casts like a bullet.  Killa.

I guess that’s slightly better than contracting the virus.
