Jeff Sprague just caught a 4-10 and said "That's a Facebook 7 pounder" Haha

  • Y'all this one could break records  ?

I'm gonna go with Justin Adkins - I liked his skills while fishing beds - excellent caster barely making a noise or splash on entry.

Keith Poche caught them - but I was really surprised that his splash technique when casting/pitching was so successful

Did Marty just insinuate that film on the water was from fish spawning??

Congrats to Ott DeFoe ~

18 bass for 57 lbs is a heck of was to blow up the derby's final period.

Really fun to watch and couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Right place, right time doing the right thing.

Missed 70# by THAT much...

Congrats Ott for pulling it out.

WOW!  That was amazing.

Defoe was on fire.  He definitely put on a clinic at the end.

What I didn’t understand is that with I think 30-45 minutes left, MDJ still had the lead and they showed him changing location.  I’m not a tournament guy but that seemed extremely risky to me.

at that point he hadn’t caught a scoreable fish in over an hour and a half. he had to make a move and try something else

That was freakin' awesome!!

I loved that he told that guy to drive right at him, use the big motor and to hurry up and come on with it. hahaha

2 questions:

  1. Was the DT10 Crankbait deflecting off of anything on the bottom? How deep of water was he in? Was the crank hitting bottom or was it just being pulled through the water column?
  2. How many of you have ever drove your boat in a circle to 'stir' up the bait/school and keep them fired? Interesting technique he used. Half the time I think the big motor and noise scare everything away, etc.

Thanks!

Anyone know why they changed locations to Lake Athens?

Just to change it up for the championship round.

Too many anglers pounding Lake Fork for multiple days.

Start fresh for championship, level field and something new.

They have done this before, I kind of like it, although it takes the anglers a little more time to figure the lake out, etc which can result in slower catch rates. They do however usually get one day of practice.
