Absolutely

All of my drinkers are running low which means it’s time to buy.  The local store had a barrel pick 1920 a few weeks ago. Fingers crossed they have a bottle left. 

Definitely worth stepping up from the BIB version, especially since it's so (relatively) inexpensive for being cask strength/barrel proof. It would be fine sipped but I like the way it carries some flavor as a mixer with the higher proof and you don't feel like you wasted something nicer. Knob Creek 9 is my favorite mixer that's still really good as a sipper, but the 114 is no slouch. 

May have to give the 114 a shot sometime. That said for the same-ish price around me I've been super impressed with the knob 9.

For the holidays, I just used good ol Jack Daniels mixed with a whisp of coke a cola to take the edge off all of the high drama at my house. Was a lifesaver on back to back nights.  😉😋

John in case you have never tried it that port goes really well with dark chocolate & cashews.  

Tonight its Redbreast 12 and a Tarantino movie---fine way to wrap up the day.

id bout rather just puke than even smell jack daniels but he has sure put TN on the map 

Had a few of these during the Michigan Alabama game. My absolute favorite beer

This  made for a great maple old fashioned.

@NorcalBassin, a buddy is friends with the Chattanooga whiskey guys and gave me a bottle of some of their stuff a few years ago, maybe I can find the pic. The particular bottle was quite unique tasting , I think it was an experimental small batch  

Trying another new one. Goes good with BBQ. I would rate about average for a $30 bottle

Ok @12poundbass, I see where you went wrong. You’re supposed to do that before the game , that way you are asleep at the conclusion when your team loses. Take it from a lifelong TN fan 

Anyone else doing Dry January? 10 more days...it's pretty awful, I don't recommend it.

Well I held off for a while on bourbon shopping, then the bug bit me and I went on a buying spree. First I picked up a replacement bottle of rare breed...its been crazy spendy around here the past 6 months or so, like $60-$70 but I found some in a small shop I like and they had it for $45.99 so it was under $50 out the door. Next store I picked up a Russels reserve single barrel and an old forester 1910...first time with either ....I like the Russels but think I prefer rare breed, the 1910 however surprised me and I think I prefer it over Woodford double oaked. Also got a cheap bottle of Old forester 86 for a buddy whose getting into bourbon and he really liked it. Lastly I picked up a bottle of Ben Holladay soft red wheat after hearing several good reviews and was very happy with it as well. I thought it was maybe being overhyped but was very surprised by it.

Allen’s coffee flavored brandy. It ain’t great but it’s what I got……

So I’m enjoying a couple Coronas tonight (boring) but I grabbed 2 of these Wednesday night took the pictures and forgot to post them 🤪 So I’ll post them now. P.S. I couldn’t resist as I was getting gas the gas station had these on sale 2 for $5.00 and I can’t resist a bargain 😃
