Texas rigged worm.  I have caught bass on worms, weightless(Texas rigged without a sinker) wacky, Carolina, split shot, and on a jig or shaky head.  I have caught bass on creature baits and craws Texas rigged, but never on a regular Texas rigged worm.  I know I just admitted to the ultimate crime in bass fishing.  Please don't send the bass police to come take my crankbaits, and spinnerbaits away.  I promise to catch a T rigged bass before the end of the year.

The bass police are on their way now

Night fishing is the only time I can get bit on these, and even that's rare.

Shoot, I've never caught a bass at night and I've tried quite a few times.

I'm actually really bad about trying EVERYTHING rather than honing my most productive techniques. So the only ones I can think of are the Neko rig and large flutter spoons.

I'm with you here.  This year I've decided to hone a few key presentations.

On a deep diving crank.........as in a 20 foot deep.   Although I have caught a few that deep on lipless cranks.   Go figure.

My list was stuff I've tried to catch bass with and failed (even if I didn't try very hard).  But some aren't even on my radar. I don't think I have a spoon of any kind in my tackle.  I used to throw spoons for pike all the time when I was a kid.  I've caught a ton of pike on buzzbaits, but I doubt I'd throw one for bass.

but I just started fishing 5 months ago.

Been bass fishing for about 15 years for fun of course....

I have never caught a bass on: Swim Jig, Deep Crank (10+), Spoon, or a rooster tail.

I will say I have only started fishing a swim jig for the last year or so.

Jerkbaits and Bladed Jigs are my conundrum. I put A LOT of time with these each year, and each year I just shake my head at why I cant buy a bite.

My theories. I fish jerkbaits in too murky of water. I fished up in Rainy Lake this summer where its stained but pretty good visibility and smashed em with jerkbaits. In Missouri, nodda. Need to hit Stockton or Table Rock and see if my luck changes.

Bladed jigs, I have no clue, I've caught one fish in my life on one, I'm not sure if I'm fishing them too fast or what, don't know. I've tried all the colors, brands, different trailers. I suck at it.

Big monster worm - 8” or longer. Just started messing with it some during the dog days this past season. But have not wrote it off yet. Need to fish it harder and smarter. I have a fear of using it more than the fish fear seeing it I guess. Maybe I just don’t associate it to bass up here in the northern part of the country.

Silver Buddy type lure. Really could care less about it. But have caught trout on it. To me it’s a trout lure.

Back years ago I struck out with the Dances Eel. Should of worked but it didn’t. Fished it hard.

I would like to try some sort of Alabama Rig. Maybe a smaller version. Would be neat to catch one like that or two or three at once. I really don’t know anything about fishing like that.

I fish the rig a lot in the spring, but have never had a double. All of my fish are caught on the

center wire, never on an outside bait. March through early June around here the Alabama Rig

is almost required to collect a check in local tournaments.

What really trips my trigger is targeting MONSTER striper with the rig.

Over the winter I’ll look for a somewhat light rig version. I know they exist. Saw them at some shows.

If I was a young buck again 30 years old I’d throw it all day long. No sense wishing for that. Those days are long gone. The reason for going for one on the lighter side.

My thought for this use is on the river. Fish right along lay downs and along docks.

Well, I troll for striper with a version we call "The Mississippi Rig". Thirteen arms including

the center wire.  Most of the fish are 15-20 lbs, but we occasionally catch a big one! My main

buddy landed a 43lb followed by a 38lb for me on our last trip. Our best story was when my

partner caught 19 to my 1. I was the "net boy".

I thought that was more of a vertical tactic which isn't used much by bank burners, like myself.

Fellow bank burner here, I have caught plenty of bass on a drop shot with a nose hooked trick worm or finesse worm and light wire hook. I broke off on a massive one with a wacky rigged magnum trick worm on drop shot this summer. Best catch on it was a 3 lb with a nose hooked finesse worm, shaking it in a gap between thick matted grass.

I'll have to give it a try. I always assumed that it was just a vertical technique that wouldn't do any good for bank fisherman.

This^ I can make 'em walk like the "Best in Show". I've fished every size and in a dozen different colors, but I can't catch a bass on one to save my life. A couple of crappie and a bucketful of "snot rockets", but no bass.

There's some great lakes for both jerkbaits and bladed jigs around Lees Summit. I've killed them at Jacomo on a bladed jig and Prairie Lee has a solid jerkbait bite. You only need about a foot of visibility for a good jerkbait bite.

Almost never a vertical presentation for me. I fish a canyon highland type reservoir that has almost no flats at fishable depths (so I'm almost always fishing a steepish bank, usually parallel to the bank at a somewhat consistent depth, say 15'to 25' deep), and I am always casting my dropshot rigs to target areas away from the boat that are 30' to 75' from the boat. Sometimes I will be casting up near or onto the shore and dragging it into the water.

I haven't caught any on Huddleston's and I have a collection of them. It's sad really.

Something everyone says is a key bait this time of year...... A suspending jerk bait.

Spook

Wacky rig, but just started throwing it two trips ago.

Then a bunch of lures ive never thrown so obviously cant catch something if you dont throw it

That’s about how long it took me to finally get my first glide bait fish. Then something happened, I was BS’ing with some guy in a pontoon boat and had been taking my hand off the reel to point and animate the conversation - then WHAM! Not a big one, but the first one. Since then it’s been lights out.

Nice Bass ~

But that's kind of a bummer.

Because I'm never gonna be able to find that guy . . .

Wow for a while that's all I could catch them on.

Time for me to get these lures off my mind.

The full list of mainstream baits I've never caught a bass on.

1. Topwater/frog(Don't use often though)

2. Spinnerbait

3. Crawfish imitation(That will hopefully get off my list in the spring)
