Cocktail drinkers...

What are your favorites? I don't drink cocktails often...when I do its usually gin and tonic with lime or vodka (titos) and soda with lime or lemon. Beyond that my hard liquor consumption is almost always whiskey on the rocks. Maybe a stray shot or two when I'm being dumb.

Add a splash of lime juice and it's a great sitting on the deck or sitting in the boat rigging rods drink. My homemade version of a local distilleries tropical Moscow Mule.

I like a good, tall Beefeater or Bombay Sapphire and tonic with a wedge of lime and three olives in summer. Very refreshing. I’ve also been drinking this jalapeño cocktail:

Sobieski Vodka, jalapeño, lemon juice, sugar (or simple syrup).

I'll add another that I tried a couple of years ago and really enjoyed...  a cucumber Bloody Mary.  Just a regular Bloody Mary but made with cucumber vodka and with a cucumber spear instead of a celery stick.

I tried one at an outdoor restaurant on a nice summer day and have mixed up a pitcher of them for several summer get-togethers since then.  It initially sounded strange to me but those flavors go together perfectly... like peanut butter and jelly.

But I still think a gin and tonic with lime is the best summer drink there is.

I gave up alcohol many years ago after letting it run my life for too long.  Baccardi and Coke was my poison of choice.

Coco Rum. With mixers or just on ice

I like a good Rum and Coke with a twist of lime.  Margaritas with Mexican food too.

Other than that, a good neat bourbon has been my go to.

I like a good bloody Mary occasionally. Other than that, I like scotch. The Macallan, straight or with one cube of ice.

More often than not I'm going straight bourbon.  If I'm mixing it up it's likely one of the following in order:

Manhattan

Moscow mule

Dark N Stormy

Martini

Painkiller

Margarita

I used to really enjoy a mule but  got kinda burned out on em. I do really like a white Russian or 3 in the winter but its way to heavy for a summer drink. We have a local bar that has super bloodys..but there again I got burned out on em.

I can’t even remember my last cocktail. Maybe a Moscow mule or something. Now a days, if I’m drinking a cocktail it’s vodka and water or scotch with ice. My days of drinking beer and cocktails are over. White claw. I’ll drink to that. But currently, I gave up drinking. Need to lose my last 10 Covid pounds.

Mainly bourbon with a large cube of ice.  However I do enjoy a well made Old Fashioned or a Manhattan.  Nothing like sitting on the deck while the wife enjoys a glass of wine and I'm sipping on something.

Nope, I have not heard of this.  Do you substitute the milk in place of the club soda?

I think the coconut milk is just a add on. I’ve never made them but when we go to Puerto Rico that’s pretty much all we drink

Whiskey and Coke Zero or Vodka and Tonic are my go to cocktails.

Bourbon, old fashioned, Kentucky mules - probably in that order. Although sometimes the mules were bred in Tennessee
