1/8 oz. Poison Tail Jig with Owner hook, saddle hackle, bucktail, grizzly hackle topping, Flashabou Accent and a red calf tail throat.

That would work well with my fly rod.  Nice tie

These are not complicated to make but I like how they turned out.

How much, if any, of the eye-end of the hook sticks out of the mould?  I will often add a split ring between eye and weight to attach a blade to but to not deform the ring I have to go far bigger then I would like.  I wonder if it could be added pre-casting?

Not sure what you are trying to explain here? Are you talking about adding a blade to the bottom like the Owner flashy?

Is this what you are thinking? I just use a blade, swivel, and a skirt collar to hold it from moving too much.

No, I mean on the other side of the weight, on the eye side.  The way you have it works but it cuts into the hookgap for fatter paddletails and the blade will interfere with the tail a lot of the time.  I like to have it in front with a smaller blade that hits the weight to make some noise in addition to the flash and thump.

All I would have to do is remove the spring to switch it up front. This is a VMC hook that has a smaller eye than the Mustads most people use.

I was just notified that I will no longer be able to post my videos if they ask you to like or subscribe at the end of them. I guess those rules are in the bylaws here so, my bad. I had a thread that had all my homemade lures and tools I produced to make them. It was deleted. I've also posted some of them here so I guess they'll be removed soon too eventually. I'm sorry for having done that. I have a subscribe notice at the end of my videos so people can be notified when I make another one. I don't do any advertising to sell anything at all. No monetary gain from the videos. I wouldn't know how to do that anyway.

So, no more tutorial video notices posted here. Here's a picture of the first Wobbler (or creeper) I've ever made or even used! It would have been the next video posted.  And, lo and behold, it works. The video is a detailed build. It was ambitious but fun and I'm glad it was successful. If you've never seen one bloop bloop blooping in the water it's pretty neat. Everything is hand made except the hooks.

Here's a picture from the video.

YouTube has been around for a decade.  You don't have to ask for likes and subs - everyone already knows that.

I think I speak for most of the guys that watch your videos @DanielG they are great and I think most guys would really like to continue to see them.

Can you just edit that part out of the end before you post on here and if theres any links or anything just edit them out?  I realize that it may be a headache.

In all fairness to the site and mods, the thing you are being cited for is specifically listed as something not to do.  I'm sure you didnt know, otherwise you wouldnt have done it.

I hope there isnt a bad taste in your mouth, and that you would still share your wonderful gift and craftsmanship with the rest of us.

Tight lines brother.  And now back to regularly scheduled prgorams.

For each legitimate video posted, there are at least a dozen that are spam.  All have to be reviewed. For that reason, rules are strict.

Oh no... I'm not angry. I'm still here. I just won't be posting videos. Maybe a picture of a lure I make and info about it. Just no video.

- The rules were there. I should have read closer. I didn't know but I should have. That's why there are there in writing.

- I'll still post here, just no videos that's all or any links to them I guess. I got a lot of feedback about them and I'm flattered and wanted those people to know that I hadn't just stopped for no reason. And the reason is understandable.

- I don't want to remove the unsubscribe in the video which would take going on youtube and turning each one off for each video as it appears on the video at the end and then altering the end of the video, then there's the 30 minute uploads etc.... Besides, I'm on four fishing sites. The others don't have this rule. And lots of other people from other places look at them too. A lot of my viewers are from Lumberjocks if you can believe it. No reason to remove them for just one website forum.

Anyway, BR is a great bass forum. Thanks to those who maintain it.

Yes, Mr. Franco... that's what I alluded to in my post. I agree the rule is there and I don't proclaim rule ignorance. I get it.

A couple spinnerbaits, (whitechart screamin eagle imitation and my own bluegill pattern) bass on a poisontail, and a mod to my boat to have a bow mount for my trolling motor. Crankbait pics to follow.

Try not to laugh.  I'm working on some crayfish flies and don't want to tie up some "traditional" patterns.  This is what I came up with.  The hook is weighted to ride point up. Other than using a jig hook, I have to find my 2/0 and 3/0 ones, what other improvements could I make to improve it.

These catch fish. Shorten the skirt a tad. I do the same with jigs and spinnerbaits. You want those legs to kick

Well I'm going to give you the short version. Figure about 40 hours of graphic work before you get to put it on the body.

#1 Find the team(s) you like and get several different logos. Most teams have dozens of images of their name, colors, emblems and so on.

#2 You will need some clear decal transfer paper. This is the stuff that they used back in the day to put decals on plastic model cars, planes, tanks etc.

#4 You will need to scale your logos to fit the body you want. Do the scaling on white paper,in black ink. Cut it out and see if you like it. If it looks good to you save the file and make multiple images, as you will definitely damage some. You will have to scale different sizes to fit different locations.

#5 Once you have all the images scaled, print a color sample on white paper and cut them out to see if the colors are correct. If they are correct, then you can now print them on the decal paper.

#6  Once printed on decal paper let dry. Do not touch images with your hands. Once dry, you must spray the inked images with a clear sealer. The sealer is for decal paper. The sealer seals all the ink to make sure it doesn't bleed. You may have to seal twice letting it dry well between coats.

#7 Once dry, you can now cut out your image as close to the profile as possible. This is very tedious, as these images are usually small. The closer you cut out to the image, the less border you will see.

#8 now get your baits and some warm water.

#9 Dab a little water on your bait and leave it there. Put your decal in the warm water, wait for about 30 seconds, take it out and see if the decal will slide off the paper. If it does, slide it off on the bait body. If it does not put it back in the water for an additional 15 seconds.

#10 Once it slides off onto the body, carefully position it with wet fingers. Once you have it where you want it, lightly dab the decal with a very damp lint free rag or kleenex. Let dry overnight

#11 You will only be able to do one side at a time, as it will need to dry so you can turn it over.

#12  Once done, clearcoat with e-tex.

There are more trials and tribulations to making these, but you will learn from your mistakes...Good Luck....

************Just a Note: Anyone that does not have permission or owns the logo(s), cannot sell these. These are the property of the team it belongs to. You can make them for yourself, or give them as a gift, but you cannot gain any monetary value from these*****************

The past couple of days I made different sized of the same shallow crank bait. I've got one with a less than desirable color scheme that just flitters so well in the water. I figured I'd make a few with the same characteristics but better colors. You can look up my channel on youtube to see the complete builds.

I'll give that a shot.  I did drop it in some water and let it sit and it looked like I stuck it in an electric socket, the legs were all over the place I'd like to catch bass not scare them.  It did have some nice movement when I had it in running water.  I do replace skirts on my fishing buddies spinner baits.  Since it's tough to fish fly fish with a spinner bait, I tie these up for subsurface fishing.  It's also what I'll do when I replace the skirts.  I tie these on a long shank hook would it be worth shortening the skirt.
