@Baitmaker, that looks very nice! Awesome work! And even with one hand it looks like it's got great action.

Thank you!!! I couldn't reel and hold the phone at the same time so was just pulling it around with the rod tip too high to swim it right, but I am happy with the action.

I'm sold on matte black

Ok @PaulVE64, let's see how matte black works with a marabou jig...tried palmering the first time. Took me a while to make this one 😅

Once you do it a few times it will go faster. Me personally, i like to use hackle pliers for palmering

And sharp hooks.

Best advice I ever got.

Edit.... Sorry, let me try again.

There.  My fault...  What do you think of these two dual inline spinners?  One (left) is plain, the other (right) is a jig head with a rubber swirl tail grub on a weedless hook.

I can tweak these, mess around these, change them around... What do you think?

I would end up with marabou glued on my fingers if I tried this.

Have you teatwd them? Do the blades spin easily?

Yes, they were great!  Very lightweight, meant for a light action rod, 4-6# line, etc...  Would catch Crappie and smaller Bass.

Here are a few of my latest. I have been wanting to get into the swimbait game for a while so I painted me up some from Alternative Lures.

This is the exact reason why I used glue only at the final tie off! 😄

I just made these two this morning (well... the jerkbait was "assembled").  All parts/pieces came straight from that old company Jann's Netcraft.

4" (Rapala clone) jerkbait in a Sexy Shad color pattern. #4 treble hook (rear) and #6 treble hook (middle), and size 2 splitrings.

The spinnerbait is a white/chartreuse coloring, 3/0 hook, a mossy craw colored skirt, and an Indiana spinner on a clevis with 2 beads, and a brass French spinner blade on a black swivel.

Happy -- day after 4th of July!  😎

I had a spark of creativity, and decided to make this from various parts & pieces.  I guess this would be a Swimbait Jig Spinner combo.  What do you think?

4" "Real Shad" colored swimbait.

Size 3/0 weighted keeper swimbait hook.

...and I added a Jig spinner w/ Colorado blade.

@ButchA: I think you'd get a lot of hits on your latest lure, but I think your hookup percentage might be low. I visualize a bass inhaling your lure and that spinner collapsing on your hook. A semi-buried hook will guarantee a lower hooking percentage, but that percentage might drop even more with a spinner blade acting like a hook guard.

It's an underspin that's an overspin.

Here is a new 6" hardwood swimbait painted to resemble the rare and elusive firetiger crappie shad😁

Haven't checked in here in awhile. Figured I'd drop some of the latest off my drying rack.

Balsa squarebills. Copper Gill Pattern.

I painted this glide bait this week. It’s 12” long and weighs 20 ounces. Yes,it’s not for everyone but the big fish hunters I know will want one.

I think you will have no problem hooking fish with that lure. No problems with regular spinnerbaits, even with long arm.

My problem isn't hooking them. It's that the lures break after ten or twenty bass.

Well, don't catch so many and they will last for years. 😎

I posted in a fb group asking for color ideas. One guy said pb jelly and green pumpkin/pink. I got the idea to swirl gp/pink in this speed worm mold. Kinda looks like a rainbow trout to me

This might be my favorite paint job so far. Its an old rapala that was foiled in silver minnow. It was all beat up so i gave it a redo. Black and gold with a red belly. It pops more in person.
