Buzzbait size

I use a half ounce with a skirt a 3/8 ounce with a swim bait . That will be the sweet spot with my buzzbait /spinnerbait rod . A plastic swimbait weighs more than a skirt so I use a lighter weight with it .

3/8 is my go to, but on windy days or if I need more distance, I’ll go up to a 1/2oz. 3 colors, white, black, chartruese

I use 3\8oz mostly...white or black...90% of the time with a skirt 10% of the time with a speed craw.

1/2 oz black or white I like to cover as much water as I can. I throw them on a 7’6 rod with a high speed reel and 50 lb braid.

1/4-3/8-1/2 ?

3/8 black or white, skirted, no trailer.

I like a chartreuse and white skirt in 3/8 1/2.

But when Im on the river...something about that 1/4 oz white that Kentucky bass just hate.

3/8 and occasionally 1/4 for pond/ river fishing. Shirtless and always a trailer

3/8 and 1/4 for me, any bigger and they will outlay the bass around here!:wink7:

What sizes of Buzzbait do you have for your arsenal?

I have at least one of every size made, but I'm usually throwing a really big one or a really small one.

3/8oz with an ultra vibe speed craw. I prefer black buzzbaits with a clacker and crimp the rivet...you'll thank me later.

Most of the time it is a 1/2 oz. size.

3/8oz and skirtless; grub or paddle tail.  I've had some success mostly waking them over deeper water in low light conditions.  Maybe a trailer upsize is something I should play with...

I agree , however I am experimenting with the Zman GOAT (mid sized) as a trailer . The elaztec material floats so you can slow down a 1/2 oz. buzz bait a bit more when the conditions warrant (i.e. cooler water) .
