Soft Plastics

Yum Dinger black/blue 5"

Riot Baits Little Fuzzy Beaver money

Reaction Innovations Smallie Beaver tramp stamp

3 to 3.5" Stupid Tube black/blue - pick your brand

Hard Baits

Dobyns Beast 1/2 oz spinnerbait shimmer shad

Riot Baits Lil Creeper football jig 1/2 oz blue steel

Can't think of 4 more baits that are a "must have", but I have an insane amount more just for variety and not to get bored.  I could fish the rest of my life in my area of the world with what is listed above and always catch bass.

Changes a bit every year for me ~

Last year looked like this:

large.Baits1.jpg.d84aaf2644dd8bc484b89f3

https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/258333-productive-baits-2023-~/

Year before looked like this:

large.3.jpg.fb387613170db8c749dd55ebf8e6

https://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/252064-productive-baits-~-2022-big-fish-edition/

This year's MVB's have yet to be determined.

But so far it's pretty close to what's already listed above

Fish Hard

The first four get the majority of water time due to effectiveness and rigging versatility of plastics, and also being primarily a finesse fisherman and co/backseater. Like most I'm constantly changing and evolving but these are currently my most used among many more...

Finesse Worm 6-7” - Strike King, Netbait, Robo
Finesse Worm 4” - Strike King, Zoom, Robo
Ned Worm - Z-Man TRD, SK Zero, X-Zone
Soft Jerk - SK Caffeine Shad, YB D-Shad, Keitech SI
Small Jerk - LC 78, Duo 77, MB X80/Nanahan, 110jr
Topwater - EG JT115, MB DogX, LC Gunfish
Crankbait - LC 1.5, DT6, Shad Rap 5/7
Chatterbait - Z-Man Evo, Jackhammer

Flipping Jig - SK Hack Attack Fluoro, Structure
Finesse Jig - DJ Compact Pitching, Molix Kento

1 weightless mag speed worm

2 weightless fluke

3 3/4 oz Siebert brush jig + rage craw

4 drop shot with worm

5 t rig with worm

6 3/8 oz Swim Jig + swim bait

Looking forward to winter and throwing some hard baits!

I have a little bit of everything but I stick to less than the ones I mentioned 99% of the time. Most of the time I am perfectly happy with worms, crankbaits, and spinnerbaits.

I tried 3 times to make a list, but gave up.

I can list way more than 10 lures that are "pretty good"

or I can list fewer than 10 lures that are "must have"  Here they are:

-Worm

-Jig

-spinning blade (spinner/spinnerbait)

-topwater plug (e.g., popper)

-diving plug (e.g., crankbait)
