Have you got any lures with brands or promotions on them? Let’s see them. I’ve not been too lucky on finding them at yard sales though tons have been made.

I was promised some the beer cans by a fishing bud that had 3 different kinds but he never came through with them. I have heard they catch waking too

Yeah my fishing mentor gave it to me as a kid.   This man had the coolest display of lures you've seen going back to the beginning on the 1900s.     They were hung all throughout his basement on pegboard.   Thousands of lures.    

 

His mother's hobby was going around to flee markets, estate sales, etc. across the entire state of Texas, and whenever she came across Bass lures she'd buy them and mail them to him.    

 

That just brought back a flood of great memories about that peg board full of lures.   I remember on a number of occasions he'd tell me to run inside and pick out any lure I wanted.     I'm pretty sure the Budweiser lure came during one of those times.     

 

Take a kid fishing!   That's the moral of the story I guess

I bet those legitimately work too! They look similar to a perch pattern.

No I’d buy more myself at the right price and I have no idea why lol

I like Scouting lures, they bring back good memories from my 8 years as a Cub Scouts leader.
