Never ceases to amaze me how for just ONE night we wish good will to all and still a minority of other members need to push their negative agenda. Like we don’t have enough negativity in our lives.

Now that Christmas '22 has come and gone, I'll explain my response. Hopefully Glenn won't send me packing. I am a 100% believer in my Lord and Savior and we celebrate the meaning of Christmas. All of that said, I realize that other's aren't believer's, that is completely their choice. My closest friend in the world is an agnostic, no big deal to me. I don't push my beliefs off on anyone and don't want theirs pushed on me. I am very much a "live and let live" person.

 

Crazy thing with my friend, we actually call each other brothers, is that we talk about religion, politics and anything else that you're not "supposed to talk about". He respects my opinion, I respect his and all of your opinions. Isn't that how it is supposed to work?

Exactly - my best friend for 40+ years is a very devout Christian, he was best-man at my wedding and I'm honorary uncle to his two boys (who are now fathers themselves).
I'm a Secular Humanist - no belief in 'higher power' - but we're still best of friends despite our differences in 'faith'.

I’m a staunch supporter of the real reason for Christmas, I despise what America has turned it into. Don’t we already have enough Chinese plastic?
