Yeah, not sure what I think about that

If I may ask, why? I feel like it’s a good move as it’s my understanding he was calling the plays to start with and he’s respected in the locker room but I may be mistaken. I truly feel they need a couple wide receivers and I really feel they don’t need to shop for a super star but more of a couple of cost controlled decent young guys which I know is more difficult than I’m making it sound.

I am not a fan of either of these teams. The Patriots cheated for so many years, and who knows, Vrabel played under Belichick. Did the apprentice learn from the master?

I am still peaved at the Seahawks for handing Brady another ring, when all you needed to do was hand the ball to Marshawn Lynch who would have carried 5 defenders into the endzone to win the SB. I guess I am the type who holds a grudge forever. I will say I prefer the Seahawks over the Patriots. I didn't like Darnold because he was so cocky when he was drafted by the Jets, before he had even taken a single snap in the NFL. ------Now he has proven himself.

Don't get me started on the halftime show.

I do know one thing, if Seattle gets down deep in the red zone, they will not throw a short pass over the middle. 🤣

Go Hawks!

Mainly because he’s unproven as a head coach. Yes he’s been calling the shots for the offense but at the same time I’ve beat my head against the wall when they were dropping games in the middle of the season because they weren’t running the ball. They start running the ball more and get some wins then revert back to throwing the majority of the time and lose games again.

Then the whole deal with the owner calling out the Coleman draft pick after McDermit was fired, and Josh Allen sitting in on the coaching interviews makes it feel like things are a mess in Buffalo right now. I’m sure things will settle down but right now I’m undecided.

As far as receivers go, Buffalo has $3 million in cap space. I’m not going to pretend how any of the money side works at all but it doesn’t seem like they have a whole lot of dough to work with. Are they going to trade guys to free up money for receivers, at what cost?

Buffalo was #4 in total yards per game and #4 in points per game for the season. These are unadjusted numbers, but the point is- the offense wasn't the problem. Sure they could use some more receivers, but they did fine with they had. Their defense was #7 in yards and #12 in scoring against. That needs some improvement, but you can win with that. Turnover differential they were basically flat as a total team. Special teams was average. Where they were sorely lacking was pass rush, depth and situational football. Their back end defense was good when healthy but they lost too many people. They didn't have the up front pass rush to help out that back end. That's all down to depth of the roster.

Wow @rboat , did someone p1$$ in your cheerios this morning?

Anyway, I hope you feel better now that you got that off your chest ... haha ... All good man!

Haha sorry, I watch way too many NFL games and get kind of passionate about the whole thing. This may explain some of it, I am a die hard Dolphins fan, so enough said. I do feel better after venting. I apologize to my BR family. Everyone have a great day!

Ahh, got it. These past few years were supposed to be good years for you guys. You certainly have or should I say had the talent. TBH, I wish all 4 teams in the AFC east were competitive. I used to love watching those divisional games.

BTW, no apologies needed. Love to see the passion for your team coming out

I’ll start with @rboat you are definitely passionate to say the least and one thing I agree with you on is the Seahawks not utilizing Marshawn Lynch effectively in that moment of Super Bowl 49. Me personally I think that Pete Carroll had way too much belief in Russell Wilson and was trying to get him the dang MVP trophy but hey that’s just me. At @12poundbass & @casts_by_fly I appreciate both of your guys insight and I don’t follow closely enough to know what’s going on In Buffalo as an organization but I do agree that it appears to be rather messy. But hey you can always take comfort in my and @Mike L’s misery we had to endure for the last 20 years as Bears fans😉

A question to all of you NFL fans: Each year there are bad calls by the officials. It has just been a part of the game. This year seemed to be much worse for calls across the board. How many of you think that all the betting apps; Fan Duel, prize picks, Draft Kings, Bet MGM, Hard Rock bets, etc. All of these are in part sponsored and advertised by the NFL. Refs can't bet on games, but what about friends, and family. How many believe all this betting is affecting the games? Money Talks!

I’m not sure but I might take that over four straight Super Bowl losses.

I know where you’re going with this but I like to think it’s all on the up and up and that the human element is dictating the unfavorable results/outcomes.

I would think that the NFL is smart enough to get rid of what ever bad apples that are in the orchard. The NFL makes huge revenues off of the “product” so I’m guessing that they would be policing those types of activities very closely.

My opinion anyway

I’m kind of with @rboat . Is Brady the goat because of his talent or because Pete Carroll being a bonehead and the falcons totally choked ? And the tuck rule? Haha. He could have had more championship losses than LeBron

  • Global Moderator

@rboat one person can’t keep a secret so hundreds if not thousands of NFL employees wouldn’t be able to keep it quiet if refs were being influenced because of betting.

My opinion of course.

Say Less Bad Luck GIF by Bridge and Tunnel on EPIX@rboat I hope I’m not mistaken when I think you can take a bit of ribbing🤔 I agree with @12poundbass on this one that something that big couldn’t be contained. I personally think the amount of cameras and all of the angles that come with them are showing us fans things that we just didn’t see in the past. I’m certainly not saying I like it and I for one feel if the NFL is going to continue showing us the referees misses that they need to come up with something to rectify it, but hey that’s just my opinion.

@rboat

" I'm a diehard Dolphins fan "

Ahhh that explains everything....... drafting noodle arm, immobile, injury prone, coming unglued under pressure, confused by defensive formations and non existent in cold weather.......Tua.

Just in to the news desk……….Jody Allen will put the Seahawks up for sale after Super Bowl LX. Will Bezos be the next owner? Will the team follow the Sonics and relocate to Oklahoma City?

We’ll definitely have a much better idea of things on 020926, and looks like the 2026 salary cap will be over $300 million.

Why would the Seahawks sell now? I mean they're in the Super Bowl after becoming the number 1 seed in the NFC. Did @Glenn tell you that they won despite being in the toughest division - the NFC West - in all of football? That's right they did!
