@Jigfishn10 , they just couldn’t compete with the mighty Arizona cardinals so they decided to sell out 😂

In an effort to close the gap, the Cards signed former LA Rams OC Mike LeFleur as their head coach. Three newly minted HCs outta the NFC West and the Niners signed former ATL HC Raheem Morris as their new DC.

I read somewhere Bezos has offered 6.6 billion for the team, but it’s probably closer to 6 7, six seven 🤷🏼‍♂️. Of course as mention above on this thread, this could be nothing but smoke and a massive disinformation campaign unleashed by the Patriots……

That hurts

It shouldn’t, it’s plausible. I didn’t want to mention a Raiders minority owner having any influence in the hiring of their HC while helping the Patriots out at the same time. Good luck on Sunday

So when the Eagles lost to the Chiefs in '23 when their DC accepted a HC position at Arizona (In early 2023, it was determined that Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort made illegal contact with Gannon after the NFC Championship Game, during a period where contact was not permitted), that wasn't enough for every NFL team to learn from?

Now the sale of the Seahawk team that's been in the news for more than 24 hours and could have been squashed 23 hours ago is a massive disinformation campaign unleashed by the Patriots?

HAHAHAHA...let the excuses begin...HAHAHAHA

C'Mon, you're better than that

Actually, the Seahawk organization released this statement a few hours after the rumor started:

Statement from the Seahawks/Paul G. Allen Estate on ESPN report of team going up for sale post-Super Bowl.

fyi, while Paul Allen's will requires the proceeds of the sale of his teams to go to charity, there are no timelines or deadlines. It's widely speculated the sale of the Hawks will be 10-20 years from now.

X.com Well, well, well The NFL team that goes to any length to play games on & off the field No question in my mind the Kraft's (or friends) let media know the Hawks would be up for sale. A tactic & ploy the Patriots would use to try and create distraction Anyone surprised?'

From what I understand, because the team is in a trust the league wants it sold.

Thats why no sale of any NFL franchise has ever been approved by owners with that type of ownership structure before.

There have been instances in the past and all have been struck down.

Nah, don't shoot the messenger. Pretty much everyone is thinking it, if not saying it out loud. It doesn't require the world's most vivid imagination to make the connection. If they truly are behind this, in any capacity, it would certainly fit their M.O.

And if they thought it would demoralize the team and fans, it's done the exact opposite. It's backfiring spectacularly, as the Patriots have now given Seattle (who is heavily favored going into the game) some legitimate material to rally around. Something to make them feel as if outside forces are conspiring to derail them from the inside out.

The punishment will be delivered this Sunday.

Nothing wrong with a little fan conviction. That's what sports are all about.

To be fair, I’m not optimistic about the game. But should the Pats win the conspiracy theories and excuses will surely be out there.

The Red Sox and Yankees troll each other which makes the rivalry fun. This isn’t even close to fun. The difference is there is no speculation, the trolling actually happens with the Sox/Yankees.

I’ll check in on this thread at the end of the game.

I get it now. The Pats planted a rumor about the Seahawks being for sale to get them distracted for the game.

Or the Seahawks put out a fake for sale rumor so they could point the finger at it being a Pats plot, that way they smear the Pats and get them distracted.

Or it could be the Seahawks really will be for sale, after the game if they win, when their value will be at a premium.

Hey guys, some of you need to know I'm no bandwagoner. I was at the very first Seahawk game in the Kingdome in 1976. My little league football team all went to watch the new NFL team play its first game in history. Yeah, I played little league football, but that's another story.

I've been a fan since.

I weathered decades of disrespect, bottom-of-the-league jokes, the dreaded Ken Behring years, Brian Bosworth, and being an afterthought in the NFL, never getting a Sunday night game nor MNF. The AFC/NFC West was a joke.

The past 12 years of mostly amazing seasons and NFC West muscle-flexing have been an unleashing of decades of pent-up frustrations (I feel for you Bills and Vikings fans, and....even Cowboys fans).

Add to that...the Mariners. Again, the butt of jokes in the MLB for 50 years, with the exception of the late 90's. And now...wow! They went further than ever in franchise history this season (but still the ONLY MLB team to never make the World Series). The 2026 season looks even more promising.

So if I get a little pumped up about the 4th Seahawk Superbowl appearance...

Oh and hey, Seattle is hosting the World Cup this summer. How cool is that? I'm not a soccer fan, but hosting a worldwide sport with an enormous fanbase is pretty dang cool.

It feels like, finally, Seattle is making it to the big leagues.

Remember Jim Zorn very well, actually thought he was pretty good.

Also remember Bosworth getting dismantled on an attempt to bring down Bo.

Glenn, I can say for the last 20+ years I've seen your posts on GO Seahawks.

Good luck tonight, Glen. I hope the score will be closer than i think it will be. Everyone enjoy and stay safe.

All Bills fans are Seahawks fans tonight.

Go BIlls!

Got no horse in this race, but a bunch of boxes I hope to hit on one of them at least.

Also hope for a good game, may your team win !

  • Super User

@Glenn Im with a few others with no horse in the race but tonight I’m a Seahawks fan👊🏻

Looking forward to the game but never heard of any of the entertainers.

Halftime will certainly be a trip to the wood furnace 😀

Try to find the “alternative” half time show being shown on Turning Point channel and a few alternative channels.
