I havent fished since early May. I wanted to take the  little plastic  boat , battery, trolling motor... to a small lake but i'm not strong enough yet. So I hooked up the Lowe deck boat . It was tough. I got tired my back ached, it was hot so my trip was cut short. I did manage 6 bass the biggest 3lb 1 oz. Caught it and another on a top water Bomber Prop A. The rest came on a plastic worm.  Its a start. I'll try to get out a few more times before winter. The boat needed running . First time this year and it ran perfectly.

Starting off with a 3 pounder is a heck of a start.

Congrats!

Hey I'm in Iowa and fish small waters, 3 lbs is big to me!   :)

A three-pounder is solid, strong bass. They pull my canoe. I'm glad you're back on the water and dancing with bass again.

You gave yourself a stiff test either the 3lber. Glad to see you passed with flying colors!

Excellent

Being laid up takes it out of you.  It was weeks last year when I finally made it outside in my bathrobe.

Glad you're back, keep pushing.

I missed the early season this year. Two hernia surgeries and a large kidney stone laid me up. Took a while to heal and those things just drained my energy. I didn't really feel good until early July. Hang it there, it gets better.

Good to hear you're back out on the water, and catching again.

I'm making lures , organizing tackle and next time I'll be a little stronger.

I was amazed at how much strength and stamina I lost in a short period of time. I ride an e-bike 10 to 15 miles most days and walk a few miles. I'm still tired when its over but getting stronger every day.

Sounds awesome! A 3 pounder knows he is a trophy and fights like it!

Good luck with the recovery. Looks like you are getting back on track.
Though most likely are circumstances are/were different I know where you are coming from. Year from heck this year.
I’ve been back at it since the end of July, had to jump back into it in spite of what some are thinking. The mental relief alone has me feeling 100% better.
Hope you continue to feel better and recover fine. Be safe and good fishing.

Glad to hear you’re back at it!  For sure a 3lb. will get your heart going! 👍🏻😎

Ive been 5 times since late August. After each trip I'm spent and takes me about 48 hours to recover  but well worth it. I'm all loaded up for tomorrow . It will be Winter  soon and I need to catch one big bass for the latest  pics thread before the season is over.

You can do it. This is big bass season and you know how to wrangle 'em.

I had a nice fish in a downed tree with lots of little limbs . I couldnt see it but felt big on the hookset. I laid down with my arm in the water trying to find it and my 17 lb test line broke. It was probably photo worthy.
