Current Favorite FC Main Line ?

What is your current favorite FC mainline for your bait cast set ups in that 12 lb - 20 lb. typical bait cast set up range ? I still use Seaguar InvizX or AbrazX (bottom soft plastics) but there may be better now with other brands for the same price as InviX or AbrazX .

Tatsu for me.

Tatsu here too.

Tatsu when I can afford it - otherwise InvizX

Tatsu for casting in open to moderate cover

Shooter and/or Sniper for flipping and pitchin in everything that doesn’t require braid

Mike

Tatsu…try and wait till it goes on sale.

Tatsu ~

We do prefer buying bulk spools during deep deep sales.

(btw - yes I do have a mouse in my pocket).

And day in & day out, Amazon will have the absolute best price on 1000 yd spools.

And when I watch it, I can get them for just really just stupid cheap .

Like $50 American cheaper than TW on a sale day.

Don't sleep on the Zon.

Good Luck

Sniper for all main line purposes. Probably Tatsu when the Sniper runs out.

I got used to Trilene 100% floro 15 years ago and haven’t changed. I use it everyday for my plastics, and it has helped my catch rate. Being Florida I only use 15 to 20 lb test, and heavy braid for frogging and pitching. We also have a lot of limestone rock walls, and these are sharp and jagged which will mess with other lines, the floro holds up the best over time! Just can’t fish without my floro!

I started using Trilene 100% when it came out in '07. Good balance of stretch, abrasion resistance, and price. I'm back to mostly using Pline CXX, which is fluoro coated like floroclear (not many know this)

I use tatsu. @A-Jay do you know if there will be any sales soon?

As hard as this may be to believe, Amazon, the multi-billion dollar world wide on line retail outlet, always forgets to give me a personal heads up on those Tatsu sales. I don't get it ?

But if we watch closely, whenever TW has a sale, somehow Amazon is as well. And it's always a better deal.

For InvizX, I just watch my Fleet Farm ads...sometimes their prices are even better than Amazon can do - even without sales.

Looks like Tatsu is the official line of Bass Resource!

Other than possibly Sufix Advance , I see no new contenders to really challenge Seaguar’s Tatsu or InvizX popularity as shared by members here.

Invisx or Tatsu if I can get a deal. I don't bother to look at anything else anymore.

About a month ago Amazon had a 4 hour sale. Bought a couple 200yd spools for $28. I was thinking about buying a bulk roll and when I went back the sale was over.

The price after the sale was over was…37.95 on sale from $41.00 😄

I got 1000 yd spools of Tatsu on Amazon for $115 American a while back. Made the investment and got everything I use. 8, 10 12 and 15 lb test. That was a while ago and I haven't needed line since. Use it as Leader and even respooled main line on way too many casting reels. I enjoy playing the long game, especially when I can come out ahead. large.Castingrigs1BR.jpg

Berkeley big game mono 15 pound

That said I don’t mind invizx 15 pound. But flouro just isn’t my deal.
