  1. Wow. Fantastic pictures. Thanks for sharing.
  2. 6'6" medium fast spinning rod. I just get much better action with the spinning rod and it it easier on my wrists for "walking" type baits. everything else I use a 6'6" or 7 medium heavy fast action rod.
  3. very sorry for your loss. I hope your niece gets all the help she needs to deal with this terrible tragedy.
  4. I believe both sides share in the greed equally. Idiotic comments like those of Peterson will only make most people side with the owners. Modern-day slavery...at only 15 million per year plus all the perks one could ever want. Makes me want to sign up.
  5. Sounds like a good idea...but you really, really have to watch out for "snags"! ;D ;D That fishing naked thing could really add an unpleasant level to worm fishing ;D I also have cabela's guide wear and some rain suede. No problems with either.
  6. Not only were they not as smooth...depressing the lever for casting & cranking the handle, as the abu orra, the revo s, the cabelas prodigy, or the diawa exceler, they are also butt-ugly. That was enough to ward me off. His spinning reels felt even worse. And did I mention they are butt-ugly? ;D anyone who actually has these reels and uses them, informed comments are always welcomed...
  7. I think they are much more susceptible to hang-ups, at least in my experience. I replace them and use them on the back of my top water baits.
  8. Very informative. Thanks to both Glenn and Shaw for sharing that with us.
  9. seems like a good guy. At first i tired of his constant "promoting", but after watching him he is at least consistent. Plus, I know he has had some heatlth issues. Good to see him win one.
  10. I am not sure what an otterbox is, but to protect your screen you may want to look at Zagg invisishield...I have one on my ipod touch and it is bulletproof...well, at least it seems to be scratch proof
  11. I have a couple Revo S's. I find nothing to dislike about any of them. I have one that Reel Mech. tuned that is sweet. very nice reels.
  12. It makes me sick. I don't think the players should have access to the owners financial records. I also don't think the owners should be asking for another two games...b/c the fans want it. That is crap. Most teams don't make it thru a 16 game season intact, let alone adding two more. the supposed "reduction" of two pre-season games is crap as well since most starters don't play or only play a series. All this will do is handcuff teams even more with decision making regarding new/undrafted free agents. Greed. Both sides.
  13. No need to buy two, If you are one of the first 50 people to purchase, you will get two for the price of one. That is an incredible 5000.00 value for only 19.95. ;D ;D
  14. No, they don't work. Watch the infomercial about how much stronger the magnetic bracelets make you. Notice when the Seller(CROOK) demonstrates w/ people not wearing the bracelet, he pulls their arm AWAY from their body, effectively pulling them off balance. With the bracelet on, he pulls their arm STRAIGHT DOWN and magically they are now stronger and have better balance. It is all about base of support and center of gravity. It has nothing to do with the magnets in the bracelet. As stated by others, spend the 20 bucks on fishing gear. You will get more benefit from that.
  15. It comes around and goes around. EVERY major college football team "pushes" the envelope. Many times the coaching staff will committ a secondary violation to "stand out from the crowd" and then go ahead and "self-report" it which essentially ends up being a "ok, but don't do it again" message from the NCAA. In my opinion, the NCAA should rewrite their 4000 page rule book to include all attempts at cheating or beating the system, and make about 200 rules that make sense and can be followed, and then HEAVILY punish the violators which in this case would certainly include Jim Tressel. I am talking a year long suspension WITHOUT pay...no recruiting off campus for same time frame, loss of scholarships for that year, etc. Until the NCAA starts dropping the hammer, this type of behavior will continue. Don't get me started on the SEC....SEC......SEC, can you say oversigning? and is there a single person on this forum that doesnt think Auburn isn't going to be punished at some point for the Cam Newton situation? Please, It happens everywhere. Usually the coaches are smart enough to stay far enough away so they can have "plausible deniability". The media doesn't help. It is being reported that OSU self reported more violations from 2000-2009 than any other school, but to clarify, that is from ALL sports(including womens) in the largest athletics department in the country...not just from football. Why does it happen.....MONEY. Which is why OSU most likely will not get a severe penalty from the NCAA.
  16. Especially look at the dunk filmed from behind him as he goes in from the foul line. Impressive. Hard to tell from the angle, but he appears to have his hand at the top of the square...which is really impressive. Regarding the power...or lack thereof...that may be misleading and simply the kid trying not to injure himself from so many dunk attempts. If you have never dunked...you would not understand how much it can hurt hands/wrists/forearms. Since I have never dunked...I am merely throwing that out as a possibility ;D
  17. I read that story as well. Thanks for posting it A-Jay.
  18. Those are WICKED
  19. those look awesome! I really like that bluegill.
  20. Several years ago as my wife and I were exiting the archery shop we did business with, she looked over at these pidgeons in the parking lot across the street(100 feet away or more) and says..."hey, look at that one legged pidgeon". I took out the binoculars and sure enough one of those birds was hopping on one leg!!! No, I am smart enough not to try to hide anything from my wife.
  21. I fish from the bank and have seen all manners of politeness and rudeness. Most folks will at least go around me, giving me a cast length distance to each side. I have had a few troll right between my line and the bank. And i have had a few ask me how I was doing, which way I was travelling down the bank, and they went the other way. I try to get to the lake by around 4 am in the spring/summer/fall. That way, bout the time the lakes are getting busy, I am heading home.
  22. 31 years ago or so, I remember my dad taking me to our high school parking lot after a winter snow , and teaching me how to correct a "fishtail" slide, how to regain control of a spin...donut if you will. The local police stopped and asked what we were doing. My dad answered, what the hell does it look like, I am teaching my boy how to drive in bad weather. Police said to be careful and have a nice day. I firmly believe that type of training was/is needed for all young drivers. Empty parking lot, experienced driver (teacher), no one in sight and nothing to hit. One of the advantages of growing up in a small town.
  23. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for posting this. Reading this yesterday gave me the idea to fish a chatterbait today and I got my new PB LMB - 9.06. Details are in the Fishing Trip forum. Congratulations Wayne. Great job. 8-)
  24. I have never seen one in person, but they are several videos of those and other "motorized" kayaks on youtube.
