  1. Wishful thinking. Sorry, I have the game taped, and everytime I watch it, Ohio State wins. I also have last years game taped, I can make you copies???
  2. I agree w/ how the situation was handled...ie, Michigan did it the way it should have been done. Take your punishment and live to fight another day. I also agree w/ your statement "time to get tough & enforce the rules", however, it is much different saying it and doing it. Take the Cam Newton issue, he skates because he said ...I didn't know??? What if Pryor says...I didn't know??? The system is broken, impossible to enforce much of anything so long as most coaches keep that "plausible deniability" defense going. I don't know what the answer is, but I think the stuff happening at Ohio State happens at ALL major universities to some degree. The difference is just who is going to make a mistake and get caught. As far as Tressel goes, all he had to do was forward the email to OSU AD and he would still be there. Instead, he has made himself and Buckeyes everywhere the butt of every joke for the next however many years.
  3. I wonder if you had the same outlook when Michigan ran into problems with the extra practice time... lack of documentation regarding such practice times, etc, etc??? Was Everyone there "cheating" as well???
  4. Did you watch Daytona???? Aggressive...hardly. JR. pushed JJ to the win. Now ask yourself, If that were Dale Sr., who would have been doing the pushing and who would have been doing the winning?

I shoot trap with my browning 9mm. I average about 16-18 hits when I go.
  6. Great post, great video. Thanks for sharing. I particularly loved it when he said How many fish he had caught that day..."Five"!
  7. He is having a down year. Not sure why, only he could really answer that question. Last year was no fluke in my opinion, although the elite tour did play to his strengths with two tourneys in California. I like him and think he will be back. One thing about him, he certainly can be an emotional guy. I think maybe last years disappointment may have sapped his "batteries" a bit.
  8. two years ago...didn't have a scale to weigh it so I don't know how much it weighed, only that it was much bigger than anything I have caught before or since. It was barely dusk, and I caught this largemouth on a black jointed jitterbug using a bass pro crankin stick and a cabelas prodigy baitcast reel(I am not sure if using a cabelas reel on a basspro rod is legal in all 50 states ) Largest I have weighed was 3.8 pounds. I caught it last summer on the same black jointed jitterbug...although I don't remember the rod/reel combo for this one. I received that jitterbug as a "throw-in" for a trade I made with a member here...I can't remember who it was now, but thank you. That jitterbug is BEAT UP, and still answers the bell.
  9. I too use spinning gear w/ the "buzzfrogs"...stanley ribbits mostly. I also use spinning gear with rage toads. I use the st. croix mojo bass tube/grub spinning rod. I also use this same rod for casting topwaters in the dark. Works very well and have had no problems landing bass with any of these baits. However, I have not had to drag a fish thru lily pods or much more than a little grass, but don't think it would be a problem. I use yo-zuri hybrid ultrasoft #6 for my line...again, no real slop to consider. Not really worried about the man card, as with the rest of you fellows, I had to turn it in when I got married and had kids.
  10. I have the PGC66MMF glass cranking rod and I love it. Something about the glass I think really allows this rod to load up. I am able to cast even the lighter baits a long ways. I have a daiwa 150p 5.1:1 reel on it and I am able to feel the crank wobble, and can tell immediately if the bait gets "fouled" w/ grass or leaves.
  11. black jointed jitterbug. Love those topwater bites.
  12. Catt, I think you are gonna be happy w/ Martez Wilson. During the Ohio State vs. Illinios game this year, it seemed like he was in on every tackle. I don't think he was blocked all day. He is big, strong, AND fast. Good combo for an inside linebacker.
  13. I have the saros in the 3000 size. Very nice, smooth on the retrieve. casts very well and has a very smooth drag as well.
  14. I am glad you are going to be ok. Way too close...could have been one of your eyes. Were you wearing safety glasses???
  15. X2 on the "I don't wear jeans, they are way too uncomfortable". And if I did, I would wash them after each wearing. If you wear your jeans for , say, 10 days in a row, how often do your change the rest of your attire???
  16. BassMike88, taking your bat story one step further, I was fishing last summer and felt something on the end of my fishing rod...keeping me from reeling in. I thought it was part of a lily pad since they were everywhere. I reached up to pull "it" off, and a bat bit me on the middle finger. Rabies shorts ensued shortly thereafter. Not fun. Now, if i even think something is on my rod/line...on comes the headlamp. ;D
  17. Duke has a great program and a better coach. They just got beat by a more athletic team that got "hot" in the second half. I admire their continued success. They are always a national title contender. Coach K is always gracious and respectful...win or lose. And, EVERYONE gives Duke their absolute best. Very hard to be as good as they have been for as long as they have.
  18. I have the cabelas advanced angler magnum bag as well. I like it...alot. heavy duty, has "rubber" type bottom, zippers work well...still on all compartments, and has place for more than I would want to carry. The only downside to it is it seems to get heavier and heavier...the more stuff I am forced to buy. ;D
  19. I am a Kevin Van Dam fan, and I root for him to win. That said, I felt bad for Skeet last year. He had an incredible season. I like the format much better this year, and although Skeet has not gotten off to a great start, he will be there in the end. If you did not follow his blog on Bassmaster.com, check into it and see if you enjoy it. I found myself rooting for him more after following his blog. He writes it from the heart, and it shows. Although we "fans" can never be sure of a persons' character(see Jim Tressel), I believe Skeet to be a good guy who loves his family and loves to fish.
  20. did anyone else notice that was a "midget" bigfoot? maybe he "messed" in his suit, which could account for the horrid smell and the snarling???
  21. What fishing Rhino said...twice. See a physician, find out what the problem really is...then go about working on the issues to help keep the problem at bay.
  22. Just watched it again. Two things really stood out to me...the first is Jones' reach. Shogun could never get close to him to connect. The second is Jones' power. He just physically manhandled Rua Add in that Shogun looked tired BEFORE the fight even started, and it was total domination for Jones.
  23. Jones is only 23. He is just scratching the surface. Add in the abominable 84 inch reach...which is 10-12 inches longer than most opponents...and you have the makings of a very formidable champion. How hard he works on his game will be the key. If he constantly tries to improve in all areas he will be difficult to stop. I have seen him fight a few times now. It will also be interesting to see what happens the first time he gets tagged. I have not seen anyone hit him with clean shot...yet. He is good and can get better. No one is unbeatable. Remember, it has just been two years or so that Machida was supposedly "unbeatable"
  24. Have you tried the Zebco Omega??? For a spincaster, it is pretty nice. However, it is a heavy reel. It is smooth on the retrieve, casts nicely, and seems to built well.
  25. I throw almost exclusively a 3/4 ounce spinnerbait. I vary both the blades and the skirt to affect running depth, speed of retrieve available to me, and size/profile of the bait. I like the strikezone master blaster hidden weight spinnerbait 3/4 ounce with gold scalloped willow blades and white/chartreuse skirt. Have had lots of luck with that particular bait. also, with a 3/4 ounce bait, I can cast it a mile no matter the conditions.
