Got a line question...what line do you crank with?
As you can see, the choice is up to you, with no "real" advantage of any type. I use 12# mono on baitcasters, and 8# on a spinning rig that i throw smaller cranks or in bigtime winds. Why mono? It's works and what i have used for years. Is it the best choice? i don't know or care.

Jon boat must haves
Go with 50" feet of anchor rope. 25' is fine if the waters you fish are only 10' deep.

Shallow-running/Suspending Lipless Crankbait
Not on a spinng reel , unless it's a saltwater reel that is twice the size.

Mono storage
4 & 6# stays in a yeti with ice. I change out the ice 2 times a week. All others i keep in an open steel box on the roof of my house.

Lure swap 2023
Yestrerday was the 10th annual lure swap / sell and once again scored a couple of sweet deals. A slightly used 1 yr. old Revo Winch for $60. I have wanted one for years but i didn't feel the need enough to shell out the $180 or so for a new one. $10 for 10 hand tied black maribou jigs tied on different heads from ned to ball to little football, all 1/8 oz. or lighter. And for $20 i got 5 hardbaits. Dt-16, Yo-zuri med. crank, LC pointer sp ,Rapala BX swimer, and a custom perch painted jerkbait that i haven't identified yet. A good time was had by all, and although the auction table for our charity didn't get as much love, we still raised a couple hundred (1/3 of normal) for a local veterans charity to help with those trying to deal with their issues. Attendance was down some, but close to 40. We're all just waiting to start the season.

Dedicated Weightless Senko rod...what do you use?
My dedicated senko rod is also used for flukes. Nothing fancy here. A 6-10 or 6-9 mh-f (can't remember ha ha) spinning rod (shimano $65) and a pflueger 2500 pres. 15# braid to spro power swivel, and 6' of 8# floro. It works for me.

whats your favorite prop bait
I am surprised no old geezer didn't say Arbogast Sputterfuss. (i'm a geezer by the way). I don't consider a buzzbait as a prop bait because when you stop reeling it just slowly sinks. I have caught a few on spybaits and tiny torpedos but never fished with a dual prop-jerkbait style. Maybe that will change. I know buzzbaits work, but i would throw whop-plop instead.

Which bass would you choose and why?
Where i live it would be impossible to catch a world record lm,sm or redeye, so it never even crosses my mind. But, if i did, i hope it was a sm. But i think a lm would render more notoriety in the fishing world. The average Joe or Joan aren't gonna get rich with a world record. I hope these records get broken by a pre-teen boy or girl on a worm they dug up and on a cane pole.

What's your favorite all around monofilament weight (for casting setups)?
So YOU are the guy that puts 6# test on baitcasters. BFS? ?

How many lipless cranks too many?
I only have about 3dozen, including 8 cordell spots in their clear and red plastics boxes, unused. (70's) Most others are retired / displayed and only about 8 make it in the boat. I do need to get a couple of 1 oz-ers. Those are the most fun for me.
