  1. Heading to the Rossford, OH (toledo) store tomorrow to see KVD and Hank Parker. I just finished my latest tackle inventory and made my list!
  2. I think you can sign up to get e-mail updates when an offender moves into your area too. I signed up last week on our sheriffs department website. Yesterday I heard about a guy in my area being convicted, and got the email today!
  3. I've been thinking of buying some waders also. I'm thinking breathable is the way to go so I can use them throughout the summer. If I need to bundle up underneath in the fall/early spring I can do that, right?
  4. I just started working 2 days a week in Dayton, OH. Got on google to see if there was a little tackle place in town (as opposed to Dicks or Gander) and found that just 4 blocks from my office is a tackle shop that does reel repair, rod repair, custom rods, and will even make custom jigs/spinnerbaits while you shop through all the usual gear. I went straight home and apologized to my wife for the money I am about to spend.
  5. Agree 100%! Good lookin Jigs, I may have to place an order ;-)
  6. I'm with you buddy! I have put new split rings on everything, new hooks where "needed" and re-reorganized my tackle several times over. I've cleaned reels/rods twice now. I drew up the plans and took measurements for what will become the "fishing corner" of my basement. Our ice is getting thin, today I printed off my 2009 license, and I really hope to be able to at least get a lure wet in the next week or so!
  7. at least 47 of us played under the grouping "Bass Resource." As far as how we did, I got 44th...so we are not talking about it! ;-) haha, its fun even for a beginner!
  8. No offense, but this thread seems to be splintering into about 3 seperate arguments. Our government is set up to allow everyone to do what they feel they can to influence their elected officials, whether they voted for them or not. Do what you feel is best for your family and your country...its as simple/complicated as that! As for the story, had a similar story here in Ohio a few nights ago. What a crock. That law needs amended like yesterday!
  9. hahaha. I think girls would be a must for the strip competition. Good idea though with this competition, I say go with the time limit. The quicker you can retrieve and flip/pitch again the higher chances of getting a strike are on the water, so why not replicate that in the competition!?
  10. Burley- I agree with what you stated about there not being the support from viewers to air it all on one of espn's 43 channels, but the fact remains there are quite a few ways in which we, the fans should be able to view the action. The simplest of which would be internet either in video format or audio. We all know the story with watching the video online this year, but to not even have the radio working? To drop the ball on the live update at the same time? Ron Burley, you know this phrase "Bush League"!!!!
  11. Glenn, or whomever paid the bill to ESPN to run that Ad...let them know that you need a refund. 2009 coverage on ESPN has been nothing less than a sh*tstorm.
  12. This sounds pathetic, but I'm so disgusted in those whole deal that I could sit down and write a nasty email to BASS....not real sure what else I could do unfortunately!
  13. ...just when I thought the coverage couldn't get any worse!
  14. Anyone else lose the ESPN radio and real-time leaderboard from espn??? Mine just went cold and I cannot get it working again :'(
  15. I like Ike, simply because he is something different than the norm' in this sport. I especially like that he is sandbagging at the Classic. I don't blame him. If I were on fish, I wouldn't want to bring over cameras and spectators by sending that info on to ESPN. I hope he shows up with 20 pounds today....although I'm still rooting for Lowen.
  16. I've told my self since the first time I saw the laserlure that it was a gimmick. You know what they say "if it looks like a gimmick, is advertised like a gimmick....it may win the 2009 Classic!?" Maybe that will be there new slogan!
  17. I knew I should have read over the rules and how the scoring works before day one! haha, I just added 5 pros I thought would have a great year, one of which (Marty Stone) isn't even in the classic! Looks like I"ll have to wait a couple weeks to start catching up! Right now I'm sitting 44th out of 47 after day one!
  18. anyone else notice the BR advertisement on the side of the real-time leaderboard page? ;D
  19. I'm pretty pumped to see how I'm doing in the next hour!
  20. I'm listening too, but its not the same at all!
  21. me too. how is it not on tv or available for free online?
  22. According to my clock we have 31 seconds to make changes to our rosters!
  23. I got mine folded into a manila envelope on Friday. Looks like some great deals. Lucky enough to get KVD and Hank Parker coming to the Rossford, OH store!
  24. Same here. Driving in them at 20 mph is a task, I wouldn't want to wear those things unless I had to (combat)! As mtnbasser stated, you lose depth perception and have zero peripheral vision. I would bet money it would take me 5 minutes to tie a palomar know with NVGs on, and at some point I would misjudge a footstep and find myself in the water!
