  1. Can etrailer overnight a new hub to the lake house? Very few tools that aren’t already in the car and way quicker.

Ahhh the Walkers Cay Chronicles- great show. What a shame…
  3. I would agree with @TOXIC but to each their own. My first kayak was $400 used and a sit-in. I loved that thing. My second and third were Nucanoes around $1500. My boat was just over $5k and is just an aluminum with a 20 hp mercury. For me the kayaks were about functional minimalism but we’ve left that deep in the rear view. It is cool how some of these yaks are kitted out but the amount of gear and confinement in a small slow space just doesn’t appeal to me. TETO and YMMV NOW GET OFF MY LAWN!!!😀
  4. Brisk! I thought 62 in Charlotte was unseasonably cool this morning.
  5. I lean towards liquid nails for boat-sized repair projects. Be advised that if prepped correctly, it will never come off.
  6. The goat is a little more subtle. Works great on redfish too.
  7. Tuna sandwich, that way…chum.
  8. Not if you’re looking for something more subtle.
  9. Goat is good. Turbo craw is good but maybe more action than you’re looking for. I also like the menace but the other two last way longer.
  10. I’d paint them for the rust if they’re cast iron, and I wouldn’t weld them. I’d get a small chain and caribiner or other option so that I could add/subtract weight based on wind and current. You may be on to something…
  11. This should be on the lawn care thread because he is absolutely RAKING!!!
  12. I have about a half acre yard that I mow with a 22” deck push mower about once a week, almost year round. Weedeating, edging and mowing takes me just under 2 hours. 90% of the time I love doing it. I also love maintaining the weedeater and the mower. I’m not sure if I’m serious or not…
  13. First off Siebert Outdoors compact series has been a favorite for a long time. They’re almost custom at an almost bargain price, and you can get whatever skirt/weight, whenever you want. I have always loved the Stanley Wedge line. They just catch fish for me. YMMV Finally, I like(d) the Revenge spinnerbaits from Birmingham but they seem to be OBE. @A-Jay is 100% correct that a spinnerbait is a consumable, much like soft plastics. Sometimes they last, sometimes they don’t. When they don’t, usually you’re doing it right.
  14. Oh I love it as a warm up and for Bulgarian split squats - but when one shoulder goes bad it gets dicey holding it over your head…#bornin78butdroveitalittletoohard 😀
  15. I’m getting to add back DB overhead press now that my frozen shoulder is thawing. It feels weird but it definitely is key for full functionality. Keep on bringing the vids.
  16. Look, we spend thousands of dollars to drag a few small fish that wouldn’t sustain our diet out of the water to yell and take pictures and brag about on the internet. This is supported by layers upon layers of technology and commerce. It’s ridiculous from base survival perspective. Don’t argue about it. Be comfortable in what you do and who you are and just move on. People just want attention and content, like this thread.
  17. You get a surprising amount of insulation if you use two buckets, stacked. The better they fit together, the better. And then keep the lid on.
  18. Check all your guides for nicks. Two different lines makes me think it’s you or the rods.
  19. Back to the original topic… I’m pretty sure that is to thread a strap through to hold something down or in. A further back pic of where it is would help too,

Stuff rolling around in the car - I once thought I had a ball joint going bad. Turned out to just be a baseball under the driver seat that would thunk randomly as you stopped. It was kind of under the seat rails and you could feel it in the frame. poor traffic etiquette and people who run red lights. I have my 15-yo looking both ways before crossing if he’s front of the line at lights. It’s a little terrifying.
  22. This is a crime against…nature?
  23. Daiwa Aird-X in that price range. Or whatever you get, but know that it won’t be as good as the Aird-x at that price point.
  24. Daiwa Aird X and it’s not close.
