  1. Oops @plawren53202! the new guy is working as though it’s Christmas
  2. Congratulations, your hard work is much appreciated!
  3. Very true. I recently placed an order that GSO delivers in a couple of days. It took a week to arrive and I’m a few hours drive time north of San Luis Obispo. I think with the Covid-19 situation TW may have cut back operations a bit possibly to benefit their employees health. Even better news is TW is still open and shipping tackle to feed the monkey and to those lucky enough to go fish?
  4. A sign of the times for the greater good ?
  5. Maybe next time using your live bait rig @Tanner., try using a senko rigged wacky style. A little ripple on the water surface will also impart some action to this version of the float-n-fly. With the weather getting warmer, fishing will get better as the fish start to transition.
  6. The pride in the smile young Lissie Rose is displaying is mirrored on the face of the person wielding the camera! Congratulations @Catt on a family of accomplished anglers sir
  7. So pretty much 12 fiddy TYD, at $2.50 a jig head? I can understand why you might be intrigued @JediAmoeba, but I’d pass personally and look for another option. Good luck and be well ?
  8. I still have it @BassSteve. Strapped to a 6’ rod, that little Bantam made me a roll casting, spinnerbait chuckin’ machine.
  9. Snell knot or San Diego Jam knot are my go to choice. Thanks @ATA for the video on the improved San Diego Jam, looks like it’s worth switching to
  10. Couldn’t agree with you @NYWayfarer more about the Curados, they are built like tanks. This was the first time I cracked them open since day one. The OG gears are much beefier compared to the newer models gears. Only maintenance I did all these years was wipe them down, oil the bearings and rub a little Carnuba wax on ‘em. By the way, Smelly Jelly glitter does have a tendency to get everywhere ?. I think these rod handles came out nice after the U-40 treatment. be well
  11. Everyone has a different personal situation or family dynamic relating to sports. I was sitting with my daughter watching TV when she mentioned how the weather was really nice and she missed going to a ballgame due to the pandemic. My family unit has been going to ballgames since the kids were in kindergarten, which provided an opportunity for us to talk about anything and everything, including the game we were attending. I like the rest of my family look forward to again be able to attend a baseball game and return to some form of normalcy. Be well everyone
  12. With the Covid-19 restrictions in place limiting the size of this year’s Easter BBQ, I only did two racks of baby back ribs. One set of straight dry rub and the other slathered in sauce, hickory chips soaked overnight provided the flavor. Happy Easter all
  13. Wife sent this to me as a sign of the times... the bottles are hand sanitizer
  14. Happy Easter BR members and your families! Gonna miss hosting the annual family BBQ and Easter egg hunt, but glad everyone has their health.
  15. Hello @Eric M and welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. To answer which rod to pair your Curado with, the Curado rods were designed to paired together and would be a good starting point. As mentioned by other BR members, 30lb test braid would be a good all around braid for most techniques.
  16. During the past four weeks of sheltering in place, I’ve been using my copious non-fishing time to conduct a little fishing related maintenance. I’m cleaning up my rod and reels, specially reel handles and upgrading drags with Carbontex washers. I went through all my newer reels, and now my “OG” Curados that continue to function like the day I bought ‘em. Geez, I wonder...
  17. I’m gonna go with a Don Iovino Splash-it and a Megabass Pop-Max.
  18. Congrats @Looking for the big one on your new PB, very well done!
  19. Prayers for your mom and her family
  20. Well paired upgrades @Bass_Fishing_Socal, IMO the handle on the 71 looks very smooth, like it came with it.
  21. Pretty much a 3/0 Owner SSW hooks or the Gamakatsu Octopus hooks, 4/0 if it’s a 7” GYCB and tied with a snell knot.
  22. Definitely looks like you’re pittin’ those Bantams to work! Way to sack ‘em up
  23. Congrats @fishballer06 on your 5lb green football! Big girl’s looking like she’s about ready to pop!
  24. Mercury Quickleen every couple of tanks. Stabil Marine if the boat is sitting for an extended period of time.
