  1. I’d call up the shop that did the work @fishraptor, tell them you noticed the skeg isn’t straight which is what you paid for. And then ask when is the soonest can you bring it by so the repair can be completed...
  2. On this AC Mag Shad that’s seen it’s fair share of use ?
  3. Hello @MarkVA, nice first post and welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums! Currently Costas with glass lenses or one of my old Oakley’s that I keep replacing the lenses and rubber pieces cause hey, I’ve already got the frames.
  4. @Old Pro, just wanted to say THAT’S a very nice problem to have, the epitome of a very functional livewell! Definitely beats the alternative that some of us have experienced at least once. I believe some of the newer boats have a sliding plexiglass lid that might be a solution. Id personally be happy with it, just being really careful when opening it at all times. Not to mention to be sure the person holding the weigh-in bag has it on the cockpit floor to prevent any “long jumpers” from affecting a successful escape ?.
  5. Oh yeah, last one was a Bantam. Pretty much start with the Japanese tackle sites or eBay first. And if it’s from Japan, you’re probably gonna sign for the package which protects you and the vendor. Congrats on the new reel btw
  6. I’ll guess Hensley... Chucking that jig @ryanerb along those tules especially if there’s chunk rock is where I’d start. If it fishes like the delta, you won’t get a lot of bites but ones you do will definitely be the right ones!
  7. Absolutely! Of course IMHO it’s better to say “in the boat” ?
  8. “looks like you are using a smaller flipping hook? I was originally thinking of putting my 3/0 superfine eggs that I got at Walmart fir a quarter a pack to use finally, tho I am interested to hear what you think and why. There is no other option besides skinny weights here, but what weight size do you prefer?” To answering your question @Quarry Man, that is a 3/0 BPS hook that I used some shrink wrap for the worm keeper. When the keeper fails, I’ll try on a new hook and replace the shirk wrap later when I’ve accumulated enough hooks to make the process worth the effort. Sharpen the old hooks up with a file, heat up the newly made keepers with a hot air gun and back in business. The fish don’t seem to mind either lol. I started off with the Roboworm Rebarb hooks in 1/0 or 2/0 and kind of moved to BPS(cost), Owner, and even Trokar hooks. I buy my dropshot weights in bulk from 1/4 to 3/4 oz and naturally tie on what I think is appropriate depending current, cover, or application. Fluorocarbon if you prefer to use it as a leader or main line, but I haven’t noticed any drop off in using 15lb or 20lb braid. Hope this is helpful....
  9. Never really thought of it as “Bubba shotting/ Power shotting” @Quarry Man, I just always thought of it as drop shotting. I preferred bait casting gear to pitch to targets that others might throw a jig or a t-rig. As for baits, your favorite 6 or 7 inch worm, stick bait or brush hog. By the way, I like the setup you plan on using ?.
  10. Wow, congratulations @NHBull! You got a heck of a lot further that I did lol!
  11. That’s one nice fish, a personal legend! Well done Frank! And from Washington!?
  12. Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on the Super Bowl win
  13. Works of art, just plain works of art!
  14. Sorry I didn’t get a chance to attach this, minor emergency needed attention...
  15. I guess there’s many answers @FordsnFishin to your question, no right or wrong solutions. I keep the yellow handled file in the boat and the little file in my creel for stream/river fishing. I maybe spent $8.00 total for the two files...
  16. I leave my graphs plugged in with the travel covers on when driving down the road. Once at the ramp, covers come off as pre-launch ritual begins. I’m honestly more concerned with forgetting to strap down the rods on deck in my haste to get the show on the road at oh dark thirty.
  17. Beautiful green fish @Fairtax4me, enjoyed the account of the battle! Thanks for taking the time to share it
  18. So yesterday afternoon I stepped out on to the front porch and saw a small package had been delivered. But the box didn’t have the familiar fish in the rectangle on the side. Then I remembered the package was from my friend, Mr. Jones (The Bait Monkey) who won the Ebay surfing contest last week. These are gonna be fun during frogging season...
  19. At @ohboyitsrobby ‘s request
  20. Truly a sad day for the families of all involved. RIP Kobe...
  21. Rest In Peace Mr, Forrest L. Wood, the “Ranger Man” who’s vision constantly improved the sport of bass fishing and the definition of a bass boat.
  22. Heck of a day @Bluebasser86, solid fish! Ran outta likes so this is the best I’m able to do
  23. Happy to help! And I’m pretty sure you’ve got a sweet new set-up that should be just the ticket
  24. FYI @Tizi, TW has some in stock so you should be getting notified soon!
