  1. Everyone has a different personal situation or family dynamic relating to sports. I was sitting with my daughter watching TV when she mentioned how the weather was really nice and she missed going to a ballgame due to the pandemic. My family unit has been going to ballgames since the kids were in kindergarten, which provided an opportunity for us to talk about anything and everything, including the game we were attending. I like the rest of my family look forward to again be able to attend a baseball game and return to some form of normalcy. Be well everyone
  2. With the Covid-19 restrictions in place limiting the size of this year’s Easter BBQ, I only did two racks of baby back ribs. One set of straight dry rub and the other slathered in sauce, hickory chips soaked overnight provided the flavor. Happy Easter all
  3. Wife sent this to me as a sign of the times... the bottles are hand sanitizer
  4. Happy Easter BR members and your families! Gonna miss hosting the annual family BBQ and Easter egg hunt, but glad everyone has their health.
  5. Hello @Eric M and welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums. To answer which rod to pair your Curado with, the Curado rods were designed to paired together and would be a good starting point. As mentioned by other BR members, 30lb test braid would be a good all around braid for most techniques.
  6. During the past four weeks of sheltering in place, I’ve been using my copious non-fishing time to conduct a little fishing related maintenance. I’m cleaning up my rod and reels, specially reel handles and upgrading drags with Carbontex washers. I went through all my newer reels, and now my “OG” Curados that continue to function like the day I bought ‘em. Geez, I wonder...
  7. I’m gonna go with a Don Iovino Splash-it and a Megabass Pop-Max.
  8. Congrats @Looking for the big one on your new PB, very well done!
  9. Prayers for your mom and her family
  10. Well paired upgrades @Bass_Fishing_Socal, IMO the handle on the 71 looks very smooth, like it came with it.
  11. Pretty much a 3/0 Owner SSW hooks or the Gamakatsu Octopus hooks, 4/0 if it’s a 7” GYCB and tied with a snell knot.
  12. Definitely looks like you’re pittin’ those Bantams to work! Way to sack ‘em up
  13. Congrats @fishballer06 on your 5lb green football! Big girl’s looking like she’s about ready to pop!
  14. Mercury Quickleen every couple of tanks. Stabil Marine if the boat is sitting for an extended period of time.
  15. Well if anything, the suspension of play possibly takes the heat off the Astros. Not to mention further delays the Commissioners report on the Red Sox cheating investigation. Granted, we’ve all got bigger fish to fry at this point. And on another note, I just wanted to say to BR members who deal with a yearly hard water season my hats off to you guys.
  16. Enjoy your time on the water my friends if you’re able to get out there and be safe doing it. Just got a Emergency Alert text message.... Shelter in place has been extended until May 3rd. Be well ?
  17. Hahaha, with what was transpiring at the time @Hewhospeaksmuchbull with the talk of Brady to Vegas as a way of making a splash. I thought Belichick would be a coach who could get Carr to reach his potential. There’s an awful lot of time until training camp
  18. I feel very fortunate to have enjoyed a little Spring Training baseball this year. Sports has always pulled us together as a nation, providing a needed distraction during tough times until we pushed through to the other side. I guess it’s gonna be taped games of seasons past, the various upcoming drafts and free agent signings until what is the new normal is figured out.
  19. Glad to hear you got you got to wet a line @Oregon Native with your son.
  20. As @slonezp mentioned above, or a bad seal inside the Fluorite control valve @Michael Evans, which is a pretty easy DIY fix.
  21. Every day, if not hourly one can read of someone disregarding the message regarding the necessary steps to “flatten the curve” while sheltering in place. Calaveras County, the one Mark Twain wrote about issued a broad order, and Section 5 defines what is and isn’t an “essential function”, with sub-section “k” pretty much eliminates any questions. Hopefully things don’t get to this point in your neck of the woods. https://covid19.calaverasgov.us/Portals/COVID19/Documents/Press Releases/Public Health Officer Order 3-27-2020.pdf?ver=2020-03-27-160710-863 Be well everyone
  22. Never used them @ATA, but a friend did throwing a senko during a team tournament. He explained they held fish well when I asked what kind of hook he was using and why. Then my buddy gut hooked a good tournament fish and it wasn’t possible to remove the hook due to the design. We were able to save the fish by cutting the line at the eye, and my buddy then tied on an EWG hook to use the rest of the day.
  23. Like one of these lol? The seem to never fail @Smells like fish in my experience
  24. Glad you were able to get out and do something we all enjoy. Hopefully there are more opportunities to set on some good fish as this situation allows. Hope you and your family stays healthy and safe.
