  1. Way to sack ‘em up @jbsoonerfan!
  2. I got a notification from FLW that they are rescheduling event until April 5th, except for the Tackle Warehouse Pro Circuit event on Lake Martin in Alabama as practice has started and precautions instituted.
  3. I found this link on another site for those that fish central California. Both are temporarily closing due to the public health situation, to include recreational fishing and boating... http://lakemcclure.com/index.cfm/upcomingevents/lake-mcclure-lake-mcswain/
  4. Coffee, the nectar of the gods... especially if it’s Peet’s coffee.
  5. Cali did the same thing DFW. For right now it seems to be the new normal... *just found this notification on another site regarding temporary closure of two central California lakes to include recreational fishing and boating... http://lakemcclure.com/index.cfm/upcomingevents/lake-mcclure-lake-mcswain/
  6. Derek Carr going to the Patriots....
  7. Brady provided an unparalleled level of excellence and stability to the Patriots organization. I think he’ll end up in San Diego, er..I mean Los Angeles and would be a good mentor for a franchise quarterback if the ‘bolts draft on this year. I read this morning Andy Dalton is potentially the front runner to replace Brady in NE even though I thought Teddy Bridgewater might be a good fit prior to the CAR signing. I agree, but if I remember correctly Montana was coming off back surgery, Steve Young was ready to take over and the salary cap was, as always a consideration. Lots of stuff to keep us occupied as I observe the mandatory shelter in place. Be safe and be well
  8. My Mustang PFD is worth every penny. And IMHO, we should all feel the same way about our PFDs. Now, as for lures I gotta say my Vision Onetens are definitely worth the price...
  9. Ahhh, the boat trailer or “trailer” revenue stream. In the great state of California we were told it was a one time fee as well. No more yearly registration fees. Well, so somewhere along the lines things changed to a $10 fee every 5 years to keep your permanent trailer registration current. BTW, the state didn’t notify you. When I found out about this discovered I was outta compliance since 2013. Go figure Sorry my friends, I guess it’s part of the privilege of owning a luxury item..
  10. @Bdnoble84 I’d like to use 20-30lb braid. Straight braid if there’s grass, and a 10-12lb fluorocarbon leader for open water. IMHO, the bass is gonna be more focused on the bait as opposed to worrying about the line...
  11. Nice brown bass @Defishman and first post! Welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums!
  12. Glad to hear @Oregon Native that you and your son had a good trip on Lake Lanier. I know you two are looking forward to more big fish action as spring moves into summer and posting your big fish experiences. Good thoughts and great fishing to you both!
  13. Hello @Partington from Northern California, welcome to Bass Resource and the Forums! For suggestions on getting the most out of your rods, options might be a jig for the 7’10 rod, a chatterbait, buzzbait, frog for the 7’ rod, and a dropshot on the 7’ rod with the 2500 reel. And before you know it this guy shows up and you’ll be joining the BR support group...
  14. I caught her yesterday lol ?
  15. With crazy early spring time conditions, decided to see if the warming water conditions of 57° to 59.1° pulled some fish up. Well, it didn’t quite work out the way I hoped for starting off with a couple of little bucks dropshotting up in the tules. Made a run to a promising area before I called it a day. If you’re only gonna catch a couple of fish, man was I happy when a decent one decides to eat. This 6.74lb girl ate my GYCB stick bait pitched up next to a hyacinth mat. If it’s not happening yet in your neck of the woods, hopefully it’s getting close...
  16. When you look at the TP package and it states “made from domestic and imported material”, you have to wonder where that “imported material” came from @Bird.
  17. Along time ago a wise man demonstrated how the TP crisis could be solved....
  18. I was headed across Franks Tract towards Holland Cut and I thought to myself what a picturesque spring morning...
  19. Beautiful fish @OCdockskipper, enjoyed the write up!
  20. Good times @lo n slo! I did it in Hawaii a couple years back with my oldest for the first time. It was a blast, and like your pictures show, the views are tremendous. The outfit started us off with a relatively short run, extending the length of the runs as the group got more confident, culminating in a final run of almost 1/2 a mile. Lot’s of fun!
  21. Last week is now a memory, sunny and warm in the desert. Temps in the low 80’s, with the promise of spring and a pennant. Nothing like it in my opinion, enjoying some baseball while at times drifting off thinking of tight lines...
  22. Got this little gem that I’ve wanted for a little while, gonna pair it with a Stradic
  23. Hope all went well @Mike L as you’re reading this and hope you have a very speedy recovery.
  24. My first thought when I read the thread topic was a one word answer that would have quickly been censored by the Bass Resource algorithm ?. My short answer is “No” @LargeMarge, unless it’s a specific lure or bait to which I gotta shake my head at the thought lol
  25. Sammy Hagar Foreigner Boston Led Zeppelin Lynyrd Skynyrd 38 Special John Cafferty & The Beaver Brown Band UFO Def Leppard AC/DC Van Halen Journey U2 KISS just to name a few....
